Summary

I’ve never been so humiliated in my life.

My twin brother is the definition of a lost soul. And it bothers me, sure...but I didn’t even know he was out of jail until a steamy older bounty hunter showed up at my workplace, looking for him.

And tackled me to the ground in his place.

Now I’m out of a job and gunning for my brother, and there’s only one person I know who can help me find him - the bounty hunter who got me in this situation to start with.

They say that the enemy of your enemy is your friend, but I’m not sure that teaming up with Neo feels all that friendly. He’s my opposite in every way - I’m younger, he’s older; I’m loud, and he’s the strong, silent type. I’m omega...and he’s all alpha.

The more I get to know Neo, the less I want to be his enemy. But we’re only together for one purpose: To catch my brother.

Right?

Connections keep us going

I love how this story doesn’t just focus on the relationship between the two MC’s, but on how the relationships between all the characters develop and grow from a mutual interest. I was laughing out loud throughout the story. Can’t wait for more in this series! Another new to me narrator but I actually enjoyed this one. I like being brought out of my comfort zone to listening to other narrators.

Wonderful!

Austin Bates is one of my favorite authors, so of course this series was a must for me. I loved how the Knitting club is like glue that tied everyone together working as a emotional support group. Of course, the interesting plot, the amazing characters, some angst and danger, a lot of romance and hot scenes helped to round up a wonderful book. The voice acting and general performance of Mr Kauzlarich also complemented the ambience for the story. A very enjoyable reading!

Nice

A sweet story with interesting characters. Narration is great, liked Christopher’s voice. Although it can stand alone, your interest in the other characters are ticked. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Great alpha/omega romance. Modest angst.

I really enjoyed the story of Neo and Tucker. I loved Tucker and his mouthy, in-your-face attitude, and sweet, protective Neo. It was touching how Tucker wanted to help his twin go straight, even if he realized it probably wouldn't happen. He was idealistic and hopeful, but not blind. The secondary characters (Neo's extensive law enforcement clan and Tucker's assorted relations) were good, too, and added color to the story. I loved the origination of Tucker's nickname, and going axe-throwing for a first date? Priceless. It was very entertaining how both MC's family members took such joy in sharing their embarrassing stories. I have to admit, I didn't get the knitting group references, but I missed the first book, so maybe it was explained there. All in all, this is a great listen. I enjoyed the narrator's voice, and I didn't have any trouble telling who was speaking. If you have concerns, listen to the Audible sample first. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Excellent second series entry

I loved the first book in this series because the author did such a good job with characterization and this one is no different. I think the plot here is much stronger than in the first book as well, with its play on mistaken identities, the age difference trope, the enemies to lovers trope and in essence the forced proximity trope. Tucker and Neo, the young omega and older alpha are forced together by their desire to find Tucker's twin brother. Neo is a bounty hunter whose job is to bring him back after he skips his court date and Tucker wants to find him both to try to save him (a lifelong, unsuccessful effort) and punch him for costing him his job when Neo mistakes him for his twin and tries to arrest him at his job. These two are so adorable together as they snipe and snark through the mutual attraction they try unsuccessfully to resist. Just like the first book, this is a series where the alphas are strong but really gentle marshmallows inside and the omegas are independent but still long for home and family. I will always be ready to read any book in this series for a mood lifting HEA romance. The performance by Christopher Kauzlarich was excellent. All the character voices were easily distinguished (a tough job with all the male characters running around) and the emotional connections were right there to feel.

Really enjoyed

I really enjoyed listening and getting to know more about Neo after meeting him in book 1. I find it fun listening to big burly alphas knitting. Tucker has some decisions to make.

Truly great story

I actually really enjoyed this audio book. It was the perfect length, without a lot of extra scenes that were unnecessary. It started as a case of mistaken identity, but I loved how we didn't have to wait for the relationship to blossom. I really enjoyed the narrator as well. This is one that I'd listen to again.

Packing Heat

I enjoyed this story overall. There's great banter between the main characters. I loved that Tucker has somewhat of a backbone. Neo, who was supposed to be some big bad bounty hunter was just a sweetie. I think I will continue on with the series in the future. Narration: The narrator's voice was OK, very mellow. I wished there were more distinction between the character voices. I wasn't sure sometimes who was supposed to be speaking. I actually stopped listening around chapter 12 and just continued reading the book on my own.

Enjoyed it

It took me a while to get into this one. The narrator’s tone throughout never changed so at time’s, all the characters just blended into each other, as opposed to standing out. Neo and Tucker - I loved how these two met. Neo, an older alpha, thinks he’s too old for Tucker but the latter didn’t agree. Neo was a sweet, affectionate alpha and him knitting something for Tucker, made him that much more cuter. Tucker was far from meek and I liked that about him. He wasn’t afraid to speak his mind or stand up for others. Great story, just wish there was an epilogue at the end.

Broome's Books Review

Let me start with the narrator, Christopher Kauzlarich. Looking at other reviews, you either love him or hate him. I LOVED Christopher Kauzlarich’s narration. His voice is exactly how I imagined Tucker would sound. Soft, considerate, and easy to listen to. On to the story! Tucker’s twin brother can’t seem to stay out of trouble. Neo, a bounty hunter, makes an easy mistake, thinking Tucker was who he was trying to find. This gets their romance started. Tucker, even as angry as he is with Neo, he can’t seem to stop thinking about Neo. Even though the man cost him his job. One thing you should know, Tucker is an omega and Neo is an alpha. They dance around each other in the beginning, but they compliment each other well. Tucker doesn’t bend to Neo’s will. He challenges the older man. Their chemistry intensified as the story progressed and they had some steamy romance scenes. Overall, this was a quick and fun read.

Book 2 of Knitting Series

This MM romance develops from a mistaken identity- Neo, a bounty hunter, mistakes Tucker for his twin and accosts him at his job. Neo is older and more of a strong, silent type, where Tucker is younger and an Omega who fall for each other while faking a relationship in order to look for Tucker’s brother. I’m usually not much for alpha/omega stories since many stories are all about the instaconnection and quick love, but the author did a great job in slowing their connection to a satisfying simmer that builds over time. I liked the narration but at times had difficulty figuring out which character was talking. Overall a good story and I plan to listen to other stories in the series.

Neo & Tucker

Neo is a bounty hunter who is after Tucker’s twin brother. Neo & Tucker meet when Neo mistakes Tucker for his twin brother and accosts him at his job. Tucker decides to help Neo find his twin so they decide to fake a relationship. Faking a relationship turns into so much more as they spend more and more time together and really get to know one another. The narrator was great with both the story and the characters. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.

wonderful story

this is an awesome love story between two characters. The main character is a bounty hunter and the other main character is a college student that has a twin that the Bounty Hunter mistaken for him. I love as they work through that mistaken identity issue to become lovers. I also love the fact that our big Bounty Hunter tattooed hunk of a man Knits. the epilogue does end a cliffhanger for the next book of the storyline. the narration is imperfectly. You can feel the emotion of the characters through the narrator's words.

OK listen

The story was ok, and narration was done well in my opinion. I did find it a little hard to get into it and I just didn't find it very interesting but it's not a bad listen.

Good story!

I liked the story. I've actually loved the whole Knitting series. Tucker is an Omega and Neo is the Alpha bounty hunter trying to catch his twin brother. The beginning got off to a rocky start in the story, but it picked up and ended well with their HEA. The narration was a little hard to get into but by the end of it I had gotten used to the vocalization.

A solid, enjoyable alpha/omega story

This story came a long way from the awkward coffee-shop meet-cute-turned-takedown at the beginning. I'm always a little nervous when I start a new alpha/omega book because they sometimes have a tendency to be too insta-love for me. To my delight, this story had a much slower, realistic pace. Neo and Tucker weren't immediately likable guys, but they did grow on me throughout the book. What started out as a funny, fake-boyfriend style story turned into a much deeper, satisfying romance with unexpected danger at the end. I really enjoyed the way this book evolved into something much bigger than I was expecting. This narrator is not the most expressive one I've listened to, but I thought he did a great job with the story and had me even more invested in this couple's happily ever after. I haven't read any of the other books in this series, and I'm looking forward to diving into the rest! **I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

I was given a free copy.Giving honest review.

I was given a free copy of this audio book. I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I honestly did not like this book. It was very difficult for me to relate to the characters and the narrator made listening to this book a horrible chore for me.
