About this listen

For the emotionally aware but still bloody frustrated.

You've done the therapy. You understand your triggers. You can name your emotions in three languages. So why does your brain still sound like an anxious sports commentator at 3am?

This isn't another mindfulness manual or gentle self-help guide. This is for people who know what's wrong but can't stop their brain from making everything worse.

What you'll get:

  • Why your brain treats deadlines like dinosaur attacks
  • How to stop your inner narrator being such a drama queen
  • Real tools that actually work (not just "breathe deeply")
  • Permission to tell your overthinking brain to shut up
  • Practical techniques you can use immediately
  • A new relationship with your thoughts that doesn't involve years of therapy

Perfect for: Overthinkers, chronic worriers, people whose brains have no chill, anyone tired of self-help books that make them feel worse about feeling bad, professionals who need practical mental tools, and humans who want to stop feeling like they're failing at being human.

Not perfect for: People looking for gentle validation, 47 ways to practice gratitude, or anyone who thinks positive thinking alone will solve everything.

Your brain's been running the show for too long. Time to take back control.

A great addition to the practical course — it keeps the mind gently reminded and clearly guided through multiple concepts. Complex ideas are explained in a simple, accessible way, and the metaphors are an excellent tool for understanding and long-term recall.”

I loved listening to Alan! I would highly reccomend this book to anyone, both to those who are new to NLP and self-development but also to people who are well versed at it. Alan has an amazing ability to simplify complex content and distill it down to practical concepts that people can apply to their everyday life. I particularly enjoyed the fact that he narrated it himself, with his northen humour and the background trains passing from chapter to chapter. My 14 year old sat with me in the lounge whilst I was listening to the values chapter and said it made so much sense to him! Thank you Alan for gifting the world with this book 🙏

A gem to understand yourself & others, and live a simpler life
