About this listen

A Warhammer 40,000 Audiobook

With tyranid hive fleets approaching, the Carcharodons make a stand on the world of Piety V. If they can stop the xenos here, they will be able to end the menace before it begins.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

The most inhuman and brutal Chapter of Space Marines get a first hand look at the common people they fight to protect, and the results are surprising.

THE STORY

The Carcharodons’ remit is an unenviable one – this Chapter of Space Marines plies the dark areas of space, endlessly hunting down the enemies of mankind. Living on the edge, with no fixed base of operations, they are creatures shaped by their environment, renowned for their ruthlessness and their brutality. With a fresh wave of tyranid hive fleets approaching the galactic plane, the Carcharodons decide to use the world of Piety V as a bulwark. If they can stop the xenos here, they will be able to end the menace before it begins. But as they mobilise the planet’s defenders, and fight the tyranids, the Carcharodons come to learn what the value of mankind truly is.

interesting use of characters such as the introduction of a certain inquisitor, the hints towards the caradons primarh, nice development of a distinct space marine chapter.

the narrator makes the story

Pretty good look into the carcharadons as a chapter and their culture. Nice little inquisition side story. Overall really good book, just as good as the first or possibly even better.

Pretty sold space marine book

Loved it, listened to the last book a month ago, loved that, and was looking forward to book 2, it did not disappoint. Now we wait for book 3

Started my intro to 40K with this and Red Tithe, now I’m enthralled with the universe and want more. Extremely cool chapter and gives enough info and lore to research and expand on if you like the universe. But at the base level I found both books to be good stories. Highly recommend.

Perfect intro to 40k for me and others imo

I liked the first but that was so much better. Masterful story telling and an excellent narrator. Such a wide but detailed story that never waffles on. One of the best 40k books I've listened to.

Spectacular
