Summary

An all new stand-alone contemporary romance in the Seasons of the Soul series....

Arabel

A bad man once broke me, leaving me trapped in a cage built out of my own shame. Shackled to the bars of the past. Afraid. Lonely. Unable to move on.

Then, I met him. Beautiful, intense, and stuck in a cage of his own. He makes me want to live again. I want to save him. I want him to save me.

But good guys don’t like ruined girls. And even if he did, would I have the courage to break free and learn to fly again?

For him?

Lorenzo

A sad woman once broke me, leaving a crater in my chest I’ll never fill again. Hollow. Crippled by past mistakes and present fears.

Then, I met her. Enchanting, stunning, and in pain. I want to love her. I want her to love me.

But she doesn’t deserve to fall into the abyss of my broken soul. I should stay away, and yet, I can’t let her go. Am I strong enough to become a better man?

For her?

Warning: This book contains mature content that may be disturbing to some of you. Listen at your own risk.

Contemporary Romance

Our Naked Souls by Alessandra Vitale is a contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo and Ramona Master. This is the first book in Seasons of the Soul series and can be read as a standalone.

The book comes with a WARNING: "This book contains mature content, which may be disturbing to some of you. Read at your own risk. It is suitable only for ages 18+."

This is the first book of Alessandra's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. The book took me on an emotional rollercoaster that I never wanted to get off. I loved that relationship that bloomed between Arabel and Lorenzo. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Our Shadowed Souls to be released on October 5, 2021 so I can get Mignon and Fox's story.

Michael and Ramona did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

Amazing start to the series!

The past can haunt you, especially when it is as tragic as Arabel's. It has been 3 years and she still has nightmares. Enzo too has a brokenness that is all too evident. His past is with him every day. But when these two meet, the chemistry is strong. If they take it slow, will the be able to heal each other and break free of the painful memories? I went into this story blind, and I am so glad I did. Each having a story that is so powerful and painful, it is no wonder they are in the position they are. I love how they built their relationship, slowly, and purposefully. Yes, there is a lot of spontaneity too, but the two are very cautious. Alessandra Vitale writes beautifully a story of suffering and grief and how these two rebuild and recover. Plus I love a doting, single dad! She adds a little levity to the story. I will definitely be looking for the next book in this series.

Michael Ferraiuolo is fantastic as Enzo. Give me an Italian accent any day and it melts my heart. He brings incredible emotions to his character, and lets us take his journey to happiness. Ramona Master comes in as Arabel with a powerful performance. She takes us through it all, giving us every feeling of doubt, despair, and love. These two are a wonderful team and made for an entertaining listen.

What an excellent book!

This is a story that has so much heart and love… built from tragedy and sadness. Lorenzos life has never been the same since Grace left. And Arabellas life was tragically altered three years ago. In the process of moving through their lives, they meet. Lorenzo is instantly attracted.. and so is Arabella… or is she? She runs and he can’t figure out what causes it.

I love how both of these characters support each other in this story. The strength and courage they both embody made this an excellent story.

Michael Ferraiuolo and Ramona Master were excellent with the narration. I loved it.

Lovely series starter!

The story of Arabel and Lorenzo. They have such scarred souls that when they first meet , they run from each other. Something that gets corrected later as they make their journey to healing, to a better future for both. The listen is awesome due to both narrators, great voices bring this story to life.

Powerful story! A Must listen

This was my first listen by Alessandra Vitale. And both Ramona Master & Michael Ferraiulo are new to me narrators. Both Arabel & Lorenzo have traumatic pasts that haunt them. They both run from each other & their pasts. Fate brought them together and they worked together to heal. Awesome read! Michael & Ramona did a great job narrating!

Powerful!

This story is powerful and emotional. It is told in dual POV. It is the story of Lorenzo and Arabel, two broken people who are struggling to deal with events from their past. I loved the twists and turns and the unexpected way at the end that their pasts are connected. The prologue grabbed my attention but then the story got a little slow in the middle before picking back up and then sucking me back in until the end. Michael Ferraiuolo and Ramona Master both did an amazing job bringing this story to life. They put so much emotion and feeling into these characters.

Deeply emotional and raw

This is a deeply emotional, deeply passionate love story. Arabel and Lorenzo have both dealt with deep tragedy, which has left them scarred and hesitant to open themselves up to love again. But a spark is ignited between them when they briefly meet on New Years Eve, which is quickly doused by an unexpected moment of panic triggered in Anabel that separates them without even knowing the other’s name.

But fate intervenes, thrusting them together, interested in the same property to purchase, which then puts them at odds, despite the intense chemistry popping between them. Every time they seem to be making progress toward each other, something happens leaving one of them retreating, but all the while, both are pining for each other in silence. They have to learn to not only trust each other, but trust themselves to move past their trauma, knowing that they can hold each other up. Emotions are high, the steam is even higher, and the HEA is oh so satisfying.

An excellent audiobook, the narration is spot on, and fully immerses you in these characters, and the depth of their emotions.

Intense and Emotional!

Lorenzo (Enzo)and Arabel are two broken souls. Their story is slow paced, intense, emotional and heart shattering, filled with drama, and unpredictable twists and turns. Michael Ferraiuolo and Ramona Master did an excellent job with the narration. I enjoyed it. #AudiobookObsession #TheFlock

Our Naked Souls

Wow! This book was emotional. This book may contain triggers for some people. It reflects on overcoming grief in healthy and unhealthy situations. Ari and Enzo were drawn together at the first look. They both thought they were to damaged to be loved or to love again. They helped each other to learn to love again. Even though this book was very tragic I loved where it ended. I am intrigued to see what the next book will be about. Ramona Masters and Michael Ferraiuolo did absolutely amazing with the accents.

Beautiful story of love

Lorenzo wasn't looking for a relationship. The first time he saw Arabel dancing at the club , he was immediately drawn to her by her beauty.
His memories of his past kept him from wanting to let her in.
Arabel is trying to get past her trauma and Is ready to move on with her life. She was hoping with would be with Enzo.
Arabel and and Enzo found love and solace when overcoming their own personal tragedies.
This is a very well written, emotional story.
Ramona Master and Michael Ferriauolo narration is emotional, touching, and exceptional.

Heartbreaking - heed warnings ⚠️ 💔 😢

This is the first audiobook I've read/listened to by Alessandra Vitale. Wow. The emotional pull that one endures while listening is heavy. This is not a light and easy read/listen. I cried. I sobbed. But the were good parts...lighter parts where you smile. Such a great read. Well written with a good storyline and great characters. Looking forward to reading/listening to more by this author.

Warning...rape and suicide triggers.

Michael Ferraiuolo is a new to me narrator. He is an excellent performer. I will be watching for more from him!! Ramona Master is another excellent narrator. I always enjoy her performances. They brought this audiobook to life. It was incredible. I'll be listening to this one again in the future.

Awesome Story & Narration🎧 Riveting & Heartfelt!

This is an outstanding debut novel, it is a well-written romance that not only grabbed my attention but my heart as well, captivating both for the entire book. I loved the originality of the story it is so much more that your usual romance novel. The characters and storylines are complex and sometimes intense, they are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Both lead characters were well developed, each one dealing with inner demons and broken in their own way. There are some great secondary characters too. The author’s descriptive details bring you right alongside the characters, giving you an inside view of what they are thinking, feeling and experiencing, making my heart pound at times. I was rooting for Arabel and Lorenzo the entire time and it was great to watch them grow into their own by the end especially Arabel who was a force to be reckoned with. I think it is best to go into this book knowing as little as possible, attach yourself to these characters and go on their journey, painful at times and rewarding at others, especially in the end. It is hard to believe this is a debut novel, the story is brilliantly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling and gut wrenching moments, heartfelt and emotional moments and a wonderful, not always easy, meant to be romance. Alessandra Vitale, thank you for this awesome story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Michael Ferraiuolo and Ramona Master were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life. They gave each character their own distinct voice making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, taking each role and making it their own. Michael Ferraiuolo’s Lorenzo was amazing, Italian accent and all, Ramona Master’s Arabel was amazing too, both performances captured every single emotion. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. These two talented voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this awesome listen.

Emotional but So Worth It.....

Wow..... I went into this story completely blind as I do pretty much all books, and once again I have been been truly wowed and impressed. This story is raw and heartbreaking and difficult to read/listen to at times, but it was so very worth it.

Arabel has been through an insanely traumatic experience and it is with her all the time. Years later, the memories still haunt her. When she meets Lorenzo, though she is attracted to him, there is so much about being with him that makes her nervous too. Lorenzo is also no stranger to his own set of difficult life experiences and he too has some reservations about being in a relationship with Arabel, yet they are drawn to each other, and maybe they are exactly what they need to each feel whole again.

My heart broke for Arabel's experience, but I admired her strength and her character and her determination to keep moving forward. My heart also broke for Lorenzo and all that he had been through. I really liked he and Arabel together. I think the author did a fantastic job with this very difficult story line and sensitive subject matter. I would definitely like to read more of her work in the future.

Ramona Master did a phenomenal job as Arabel in this story. She is truly a fantastic narrator and does a wonderful job conveying all the emotions of the story through her narration, and with a story as powerful as this one that is so important. This was my first time listening to Michael Ferraiuolo, but I also think he did a great job and I would definitely be interested in listening to more of his work in the future. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock
