Summary

Orthodoxy was named as one of Publishers Weekly’s 10 indispensable spiritual classics of the past 1500 years. It is the personal journal of one man’s search for understanding culminating in his conversion to Catholicism. Written with wisdom and wit, G.K. Chesterton captures the very nature of faith.

A man ahead of his time

It shows Chesterton's intellect but some of his references are of his day and some readers may find some racial comments inappropriate, first published 1908. His overall genius and ready wit are timeless much like the object of his argument - Christian Orthodoxy. Mr Bernard Shaw preserved his life for as long as possible GK appears to have drunk, smoked and eaten his way to an early death - Chesterton had confidence in where he was going!
