Summary

Do you need my help?
It was always the first question he asked.
They called him when they had nowhere else to turn.

Raised and trained as part of a top-secret programme, he was sent to the worst places in the world to do things his government denied any knowledge of.

Then he broke with the programme and disappeared. But now someone's on his tail. Someone who knows he was once known simply as Orphan X.

Became tedious!

I only really finished this because I'd started it. It seemed like it was going to be an intriguing story, at first, but it was just the same old thing I've read before. There was not enough description of the early life of the main character, who was supposed to be some sort of genius assassin, but who actually made dumb decisions all the time and he wasn't all that interesting. I suppose this story seems exciting and interesting, if you're 15 and you've not had a chance to do that much reading yet.
I'm going to have to start taking audible reviews with a massive pinch of salt. The highest rated views are always shown first, I can't see a way to skip to the lower rated reviews for a balanced view.

Anyway, if you're young and looking for a bit of an adventure in a book, go ahead, you'll probably enjoy it. But I wouldn't recommend this to a more experienced reader.

good, spolt with overacted main character

a good plot and entertaining characters. some of the situations were a bit far fetched though and it did twist and turn with characters turning up that were only briefly mentioned at the start with an expetion for you to remeber who they were and what the relationship was.

wow, Orphan X is very good...

Any additional comments?

An excellent vigilante / government conspiracy thriller. Wasn't sure I'd enjoy this given its not my preferred genre, however I found it very gripping, and really didn't want to put it down.
Once again Scott Brick turns in a flawless performance.
I'll be looking out for more Hurwitz stories for sure.

Good but not his best.

This is a complex and gripping story by an excellent writer. I've been waiting quite a while for a new release from Greg Hurwitz and I wasn't disappointed. But in my opinion it was not his best. But still very enjoyable! It finished with plenty of space for a follow on or a series of the nowhere man. Here's hoping we're that lucky!

Gripped from word 1

This is a book you want to end so you know what happens but you don't want to end because it's so good. Scott Brickputs his usual enthusiasm into the narration and I bought the next book of the series before even getting to the end of this one as I want to know what happens to Evan next.
