OK story ruined by poor sex scenes

This feels like it's been written by a 14 year old virgin who's never done more than watch a porno.

Whilst the story between the sex is passable as an adventure story, the sex scenes are so badly written it's off-putting. The MC is a God in bed who can bring women off several times in a row with but a mere touch of his fingers. His stamina is such that he can keep going until he decides he's had enough, which of course is after giving several more orgasms to the women with his dick. It's laughably bad, not erotic.

It should be a great series

The main character is a high elf and acts just like a high elf should. the narration was excellent. the dialog was extremely consistent with each character. the mc became likeable but was true to his nature . he was always arrogant and the best ....of course, just ask him. but don't mess with his elves.

captivating

wonderfully written with lots of content side arcs and character development. the ending is nicely played out and the author sets it up nicely. he doesn't write himself into a corner then pull out a nuke to get the story back on track. once I started I listened any chance I could to find out what would happen next. I highly recommend it and can't wait for book two!

Sloss’ best writing to date

I loved this audiobook. It was extremely well written and flowed beautifully. The world building is rich and the characters are interesting. The narration was masterful. Dave and Rebecca always deliver.

So far still best book in the series.

Books is the best one in the series. After book one steamy encounters within the harem fall away, and the glue holding everything in the story together dissolve. They start to get boring. But still good book, at least this one!

elf pirates hooooo

i at first hated the mc he was arrogant and seemed to keep that way but about the 2nd quarter of the book he becames very interesting, especially when he is with his eventual harem and makes the book a good listen. the narrator works and does well during the transition.

an epic start to a new adventure!

Great story and narration!

The MC gets marooned hundreds of miles from his home. Now he will have to rely on his sensational archery skills and a rather odd elf lady in order to get home. This perilous track is filled with bandits and all kinds of giant monsters all eager to get in their way.

Rebecca and Daniel do a fantastic job with the narration!

I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book!

Erotic Mature Content - A, Plot - C

Marcus Sloss crafted an highly mature erotic novel but doing so allowed those sections to over-shadow the actual plot elements of the story. Also, the ever-haughty nature of the MC along with his female harem's acceptance of his dominance over them lessened the listening experience. The actual story elements were mostly unimaginative, defeating wood, desert and high elves amassed to defeat him and his harem. The boss monster characters were mostly automatons and their motives for attacking were fairly obvious from the start.

Even so, given that this was meant to be a harem novel focusing on erotic encounters rather than dramatic story arc events, I gave it a 4 star overall rating for meeting the primary objective of this genre of book.

Both Daniel Wisniewski's and Rebecca Woods performances were performed well and it was unfortunate that their characters were written to be domineering and submissive.

More drinking

Marcus is back with yet another zinger. And as he proceeds to give us what we need; I'd like to point out the range he has on his books. Whether it's Sci Fi, medieval, or slightly modern Marc's gonna give it to you with all you could want.
Now as for the title of this review. I'm just saying i hope to see more drunk scenes in the next one. I mean they are pirates now, "drink up me hearty, yoho".

Awesome

I love non humans as the MC but there are so few and i liked how Wes acted like you would think of a high elf proud and arrogant but you end up liking him from the beginning and it is a really good origins story can't wait for the next one!
