escapism
I brought this book as I'd run out of credits and just under ?11 for nearly 21 hrs of audio book ticked my boxes.
firstly, great literature this isn't and the charactors are very very samy... girls ravishing beauties and men hansom hunks but it really didn't bother me at all! this is pure escapism and is certainly one of my guilty pleasures alongside Jilly Cooper novels. great fun, go buy it. finally, I bet I'm the only guy who buys and reviews this book!

Unexciting, predictable.
I have read this authors other books and enjoyed them - but I did not enjoy listening to this one. It was long, boring in parts, entirely predictable and most irritatingly narrated. The narrator had a very whiny voice for one of the main characters (Brooke) and made many mispronunciations. I wouldn't recommend this audiobook.

Another Tasmina Perry gem aren't they all?
Where does Original Sin rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the very best I just loved it. Every character had so much depth and kept you guessing the outcome right up until the end.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved Brooke and her decision at the end.
What about Dian Perry’s performance did you like?
I thought she did a great job with the variation of tone of the characters particularly Brooke and Tess.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No
Any additional comments?
I buy all Tasmina Perrys books because every story is so full of intrigue and I cannot get enough of them

Painful, but not for the reason you might think
The book itself has some merit, but there are three glaring flaws.
Except for these three flaws, the book would be a solid three star - a perfectly okay way to waste a credit and some time.
Flaw 1 - It sounds as though this is a book based on American characters, written by a UK author. Whoever edited the book did a poor job of adapting it to fit a North American audience. The differences between UK and NA English are slight but glaring, and the mistakes are very annoying to listen to, over and over.
Flaw 2 - the main female character, Brooke, is TSTL (too stupid to live) and if this were a horror novel, she'd be the dumb girl who hears screams from the basement in the middle of the night and decides to go check them out armed only with a hairbrush. She's so dumb that it actually HURTS to listen to her parts of the story.
Flaw 3 - The sex in the book is gross. Just plain gross. Not sexy, not steamy, not gritty and real, not even just dirty. It's just gross. There are three words that sum it up nicely, and are completely burned into my brain.
"thick pink shaft..."

not that great at all...
I usually really enjoy books by this author, but the nasal tone of this narrator meant that I couldn't even finish listening to the first part (there are 3).
Maybe its a good book in paper back, but i do not reccommend this at all as an audio book.
Sorry

What did you love best about Original Sin?
it was a really enjoyable story, quite unexpectedly so!
What does Dian Perry bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
she really brings out the characters
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
