Summary
Orgullo y prejuicio fue publicada por primera vez en 1813 y ha sido considerada una de las mejores novelas de Jane Austen. En ella, se relata la historia de las cinco hermanas Bennet y sus amores y desamores, centrándose en la figura de Elizabeth y en cómo debe superar obstáculos y madurar para descubrir a quién ama de verdad.
Todo ello aderezado de un padre un poco excéntrico, una madre que roza el ridículo en sus ansias para casar a sus hijas, unas hermanas con caracteres muy diferentes y una auténtica colección de pretendientes interesados. Con buen ritmo y utilizando la comedia para endulzar la realidad, Austen describe de manera inteligente e irónica la vida de los jóvenes en la sociedad rural de su época.
