Summary

Nothing’s ever been handed to Olivia Santini, and she’s proud of her work ethic. After seven years as the assistant manager of the Evergreen Resort and Spa, she has ideas to improve the bottom line and increase reservations. When her manager resigns, Olivia puts in her résumé and waits for the interview. The job is practically hers - all she needs is the paperwork.

Hayley Boyd Markham is the youngest Markham, the only girl, and the most spoiled. An artistic soul in a family of business-minded type, as she’s always felt like a bit of a screwup. After an embarrassing party situation, her father puts a hold on her allowance and gives her an ultimatum: Spend the winter as manager of the Evergreen Resort and Spa and show him it can turn a profit. Only then will he reconsider her future (and her inheritance).

A chance encounter in the woods is filled with chemistry and promise, and though neither Olivia nor Hayley is looking for love, they both feel the possibility. Until they get to work....

really enjoyable happy read, very low angst, romantically tender, pleasant change not to get too many obstacles to love, Georgia Beers writing given voice beautifully by Lori Prince.

love Lori Prince

The narrator is one of my favorites! she does a bang up job. I also love GB and I'll always buy her books. This story was alright. I loved the no back biting, angry ex, type of drama. it's got the right amount of angst. But, it's the ending that ruined it for me.

**spoiler alert stop reading here to avoid spoilers*** stop!

you've been adequately warned

the whole family dynamic has changed and it's just awkward for me. the parents getting together was a bit too much for me. they could've been friends, and made family gatherings more awesome. instead if they get married (since they're dating now)... the two MCs become step sisters and they're together and that's too Jerry Springer for me. ruined the whole book for me.

Awesome!!

Ok so I have to start of by saying Lori Prince is absolutely astounding! I love her so much she makes the story come alive! I was a little on the fence at first because the last Georgia Beers book I listened to just seemed to drag on and the narrator was horrible but this one was amazing! No cliff hangar just an all around good love story!

Great story and great performance

I like both Georgia Beers and Lori Prince. These two make a great pair for storytelling. I liked all the characters by the end. I was not amused with Benton to begin with, but it worked out. I like the MC pairing and there was just enough conflict to keep you burning through to what happens next. I definitely recommend this title.

Makes you feel all giddy

This was such a wonderful romance it made me feel all giddy inside. It pulled me in right from the beginning and I never looked back. The one thing I love about Georgia Beers books is that they always make me feel so happy inside, all the characters are likable and I want them all to be my friends. I totally crushed on this book and the chemistry between Olivia and Hayley was spot on. It was well worth the wait to watch their relationship develop. And narrated Lori Prince need I say more

Enjoyable listen on audible

Okay it's not high literature. It's a feel good, light weight romance. And sometimes that's good enough.

Minor spoilers

I really wanted to like this book more than I did. I enjoyed both of the the main characters and their personalities. However the ending ruined it for me. Their parents getting together and making them step siblings felt really weird and soured it for me.

The narrator almost ruined this previous read book

This was the 1st Georgia Beer's book that I ever read. I enjoyed it greatly when I read it on my own, however, when I got it on audible it was almost ruined by the narrator Lori Prince because of her over the top exaggerated lines, which were a huge turn off turn off and quite honestly if I were dating a woman that spoke that way I wouldn't even want to get close to her. It was overacted by the narrator, that's is my best discription.

Love the story

I have tried and tried to listen to stories narrated by Lori Prince and she’s cute and I want to like her , but her reading Tenors just grades on my nerves. I can’t do it .
