About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

Don't miss the brand-new Christmas book from Sunday Times best-selling author Trisha Ashley!

This Christmas will be the most special of them all....

Elderly widow Sabine knows this will be her last Christmas in her beloved home, Mitras Castle. Determined to make it just like the ones she remembers from her childhood, she employs Dido Jones of Heavenly Houseparties to help with the big day.

Dido is enchanted by the castle as soon as she steps through the imposing front door. And as Christmas day approaches, her feeling of connection to the old house runs deeper than she first thought. But when the snow begins to fall and Sabine's family arrive at the house - including Dido's teenage crush Xan - tensions rise around the castle's future and long-buried mysteries begin to unravel....

As past secrets come to light, can this still be a magical Christmas to remember?

Wonderful duel performance of older and younger women's voices. Warm and comforting story and lots of exemplary good English food.

Kept me captivated and wanting to hear more! The use of two narrators enhanced the presentation for me. One of the best audio books I have listened to for a while. More please Trisha!

Loved it!

A gently story easy to listen too - a few twists and turns. Nice not to have a long lost mother turning up.

back to her best

This was a lovely book, but I struggled getting into it because the voices sounded so strange and robotic. It got better as we got on, or maybe I got used to it, but not my favourite book to listen to 😩

Nice story but the voices are distracting

An easy listen, gripping story set in believable Northern landscape. Characters were likeable and real.
