Billie Dean Shoemate III
Vietnam. 1969. Garry Logan witnesses something far stranger than the horrors of war. Something that sticks with him his whole life. Something that is not of this world. Now old, dying, and his mind shattered from his experiences, he has decided to go back to the place where he feels he lost his soul. It is the most logical place to end his time on this earth. To go back where so many of his brothers in arms breathed their last, and to make sense of the strange thing he witnessed all those years ago. Nothing is certain now. Only one thing. What he saw still waits for him, and has been awaiting his return. How he knows this is impossible, but he does. It is still there. Waiting. And all things must come full circle.
