This novel is a chewy, bubblegum, fondant fantasy that has lit up my girlish heart. Thank you Stephanie for inviting me into this fun and extravagant world. It has really grown on me as I’ve gone through both novels and I now find myself counting down the days until the third novel is released. To anyone skeptic or unsure I encourage you to give it a good go and you might find yourself falling in love like I have.

My kind of book! Full of magic, hope, love, tricks and secrets. Evangeline and Jacks are perfect main characters. Looking forward to reading where their story goes in the next two books.

The storytelling and world setting are so beautiful, I truly felt like I was in this magical world of fairytales and fates. I loved all the plot twists and conundrums, and sense of desperation and urgency, the emotions of the main character are portrayed very well. Highly recommend.

Really good as a first dive into fantasy, everything’s not too confusing and I didn’t even realise at first it was fantasy. Although the audiobook would’ve been better as a duet
