Heartbreaking and powerful
This is the hardest most heartbreaking story I’ve ever heard. I have cried listening to this… Unimaginable any child could have been treated like this by anyone let alone their own parents. Thank you Gloria for sharing your story and giving hope to others, what a remarkable woman.

Heart wrentching
The fact that Gloria can function as a human after what she endured is a miracle! Now to share her story to help and support others, I truly have no words. Devastating story, very well written and narrated. This is not a comfortable story to hear, but a story that needs to be told. I am in awe of this woman

the story was read amazingly. the story itself was shocking. I'll never understand why the need to want to be family with those people though. Blood doesn't always mean family

Absolutely Amazing read, heart braking, yet so powerful
I cant even begin to express how incredibly strong I think you are for writing this book and surviving the hell you went through. It opened my eyes up to many of my own past traumas and beyond moved me. This is so powerful.
I absolutely recommend everyone reading this book.

Unbearably devastating
A hard listen but the story of survival and inner hidden strength is outstanding. How anyone could put someone through something so horrific is heartbreaking. I hope you find your peace and unconditional love from your own children.

Almost defies belief
Be warned, it’s not a book for everyone. A compelling storyline which was sometimes hard to hear. Such an unbelievably strong woman. So glad it came good for her in the end

Unimaginable, un-put-downable listen
I saw Gloria’s unfiltered short story about the horrors of her childhood, I downloaded Audible and listened to her entire book within 24 hours. I’m stunned how someone survives this nightmare, and better yet, manages to heal and break the cycle of generational abuse. The truth really does set you free. What an inspirational woman and an amazing example of how you can overcome any kind of hardship, however long, short or unimaginable it may be.
