Martin Jarvis brought this well loved classic to life with his wonderful range of voices.
I had forgotten just how much veiled criticism of living and social conditions Dickens incorporates into his novels. The narrator seems to find just the right tone for each character and situation.

Excellent narration of an excellent book

Have always struggled with Dickens' tedious prose and absurd plots but Martin Jarvis is outstanding.

Outstanding narrator, but ridiculous story

This for me was a wonderful way of coming to Oliver twist again.
It was lovely having it read to me in this form and having the whole book, with all the details and the beautiful beautiful language of Dickens and his delightful use of language, was quite wonderful, I really enjoyed this.

Delight!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this. It’s gritty and dark but the performance of Mr Jarvis is entertaining and at times witty.
Thank you

Fantastic and thrilling story telling both in the written word and the way it was read. Also a great insight into the plight of children of the past.

Very enjoyable read
