excellent

This is an excellent read especially for those who find themselves at large corporations. It takes a very practical and sensible approach to thriving in the corporate world and pointing out and remedying when necessary the many pitfalls and challenges that many of so naively walked into - well, it's not like you can take a college course on office politics.

Its a short and very negatively opinion piece.

If I had bought this without a free credit I'd be upset. Its 34 minutes of experiential advice from someone who has clearly had a bad experience in the workplace. You could choose to live in a Machiavellian bubble as the author prescribes or you could just build better relationships with others. Its going to be returned.

great

Once I opened this book, I couldn't put it down. I never truly found a resting spot I didn't wanna come back to. I wish I could have discovered this book years ago prior to becoming a federal employee. With the knowledge acquired from this book, my return to the federal job sector, will be a successful journey!

fantastic

Hands down this has been the most impactful book I've read in a long time. There were times when I felt like the book was written specifically for me. The insight provided in just the first few chapters has given me so much prospective on how I manage my time and navigate issues in my work.

well introduced

I really could have used this a couple of years ago, but late is better than never! I consider myself one of the well-intentioned people mentioned in the book that finds themselves caught in a political muddle. Luckily, I think I found the advice in this book just in time to avoid becoming "The Problem."

great work

This book was surprisingly helpful, with great scenarios and exercises to work through. I was expecting a somewhat cynical and unethical book; I finished feeling much more confident about working through the occasional barb wire of projects with different egos and motivations.

The art of office warfare!

I’ve never worked in a management structure like the ones that this book seems designed to help you navigate. But if the working corporate world is the way he paints it, this should be a helpful resource. I think I’ll steer clear of any multi-national corporations for a while.

The narrator did a good job.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Unhelpful

This short book is poorly written and self serving. If you are striving to understand how office politics works this book this book won’t help.

Poorly written and useless.

The author thinks he is writing The Art of War, but his information is rambling and pointless. You will get better advice by listening to the cynical office know-it-all at the water cooler. On the positive side, it was very inexpensive.

brilliant guide

Of course there is much more to it, but if you go back home angry at least once a week because the person with who you have to work is tough to work with, you might as well read this book, relax and then hopefully things will get better!

This little book surprised me. I didn't expect much from it. The title was kinda a turn-off for me. I decided to read it anyway to see whether I was wrong
