Summary

It's real. All of it. A realm of blasters, spaceships, and magic. A universe where people really can increase in skill and power, becoming so much more than they once were.

All it takes is the locked potential of every foe you slay, their stories becoming your own.

Yet there is horror as well as wonder in this magical realm, and when Val locks gazes with a beautiful girl moments away from death, he comes face-to-face with a lost tribe of people long thought extinct. Just a handful of survivors, and thousands more trapped in deepest slumber, only hours away from death.

Even as Val embraces the most perilous and noble task of his life, an entire dreadnought filled with enemy soldiers readies itself for the next step in their campaign of conquest, and Earth is the prize they will claim.

To bad they didn't see Val coming. No one ever does.

too op lacks progression feeling

it's only a simple not so creative story of a man that has ability and power to do everything.

lit rpg are a bit about this, trying to get that perfect loadout feeling or that time you levelled up, abused a glitch or found all the choices and possibilities to spec yourself.

this story lacks in these areas and the potential felt when he landed in the new world was let down. limited creativity and worldbuilding with generic op, ness

A truly enraptuing experience. An astoundingly beautiful balance of fantasy and reality that connects readers to the main character and allows you to ride the roller coaster that is Vals adventure with him. eagerly waiting for next book

much better than the first book!

I'm happy I continued to the second book, the first went really far into character development and this book did a great job to introduce the actual story quite a bit better. In my opinion it still needs some work but the story is great, if I would say anything I would like to see it would be a little less of an explanation of the MC's actions. the author went to great lengths to detail the character's history and moral compass in the first book so detailing his thoughts now just take away from the pacing of the scenes being created and feels forced. it's a bit of a fine line to walk between inner monologue and overloading the story and I think it was just pushed too far though if it wasn't for that I would easily consider this a 5 star read I would deeply enjoy.

very well done

fantastic game lit with well-written characters in a fairly unique setting.. the narrator also does a fantastic job and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. if you like litrpg and gamelit you won't be disappointed. Even if you're not a fan of those genres the story is good enough for you to ignore the game mechanics.
