Summary
Clarice and Dave Johnson are a married couple struggling to overcome physical trauma, personal disappointments, and unrealized expectations. They also have differing opinions on what it means to be successful and live a meaningful life. Clarice, a designer-label, luxury-car kind of woman, is driven by her quest to climb the social ladder; Dave, who feels at home in his blue jeans and pick-up truck, is satisfied coaching little league and running a janitorial service.
After Clarice sustains injuries in a car accident, the constant presence of her physical therapist, Julie, creates strife that quickly moves the Johnson's marriage into crisis mode.
