Hannah Hudson decides to take a break from her busy restaurant and her life in London after her girlfriend, who she thought she’d spend her life with, suddenly walks out on her. She travels to a small boutique hotel in Kirkenes, Norway, hoping to spend a peaceful and relaxing Christmas by herself.

Kristine Miller loves adventure. A bank manager living in a small town in Louisiana, she’ll take every opportunity she can get to explore the world. Kristine travels to Norway hoping to see the famous northern lights but when she meets Hannah, a fellow guest at her hotel, she realizes soon enough that the northern lights might not be the most fascinating thing there.

So very sweet, not a lot of angst, just two people falling in love. Very well-narrated too.

I loved listening to the book and how the story flowed. It made me laugh and feel embarrassed for the MCs at some points.
I also loved the narrating and use of the accents.

I loved the scenery of this book. The Northern Lights are truly magical and Norway in winter is something else! The two characters Hannah and Kristine are both so lovely and their shared Christmas experience is wonderfully written. All of it is so warm and gentle and also hot! I loved to listen to the audiobook. It was a pleasure and not only because of the British accent. I can‘t wait to hear „Southern Roots“!

I had a great listen. Loved the setting and the main characters. Loved the flirtation and the funny bits.

Was not keen on the narrators British accent. It’s probably as I am a Londoner. That is more a personal thing.

Can’t wait to listen the the next book!
