Summary

Through the centuries, countless people from around the world have been coming to India, thirsty in their search for truth. Considered to be the birthplace of spirituality, India has produced more great mystics and spiritual teachers than any other country. What more fitting place for Eckhart to speak of the eternal Now? It is here on the banks of the holy Ganga, amidst the snow-capped Himalayas and the tremendous beauty of scarlet sunsets that a group of determined souls from around the globe met to sit together in silence. With Eckhart's guidance, the rigors of living in India served as teachers pointing to the release of attachment to form and to seeing deeper into the inner.

Join them in this transformational experience and allow yourself to be guided through words and stillness into the state of presence. This is the surrendered state of consciousness in which the very limitations of form become an opening into the divine. During this seven-day retreat, Eckhart speaks with humble authenticity, wisdom and humor on a wide range of subjects.

Lessons contained in this series: Children and spirituality, Conscious suffering, Self-esteem, Couple partnerships, Falling in love, Addiction, Guilt, Forgiveness, Prayer, Death and dying, Loneliness, Devotion.

Disappointed :(

Chose this over The Power of Now or A New Earth. Chose wrong. The length is deceptive as much of it is a bell and Indian song. As the price reflects the length, this is misleading. The quality could have been better: If they can edit in song they could have played with the sound effects a little.

Classic Eckhart Tolle

What did you like most about Touching the Eternal?

I found listening to this to be rewarding in many ways. If you like listening to Eckhart then you will likely love this too. If you are not used to Eckhart recorded live then prepare yourself for some silences. Also his unique sense of humour. Otherwise be up for the challenge and enjoy the ride.

Classic Eckhart

Everything Eckhart has to say is spot on as always. There is a disappointing amount of background hiss on the recording, and I would have preferred it without the song excerpt at the beginning and end of each chapter. Still, a lot of top quality wisdom for the money.

Life changingly good stuff

Everything Eckhart Tolle does is awesome and worth checking out if you have had enough of life being a struggle and want to transform it, this guy can show you the way. Laughed and cried over three incredible days of listening to this.

Very good

I found it easy to enter presence listening to this recording even though I could only listen 1 hr a day or less.

Painfully narrated

The narration was unbelievably grating, so much so that I felt the outcome was the total opposite to the desired goal.

This is another, and one of very few, that I restarted time and time again, hoping it was only my mood that was distracting me and annoying me. It wasn't. It was the combination of the narrator and the endless tedium

I no longer have any more questions.

If you ask me what did I learn, then would have to say "nothing". Thank you.
