Metaphorically, blockchains are the ultimate non-stop computers. Once launched, they never go down, and offer an incredible amount of resiliency, making them dependable and attractive for running a new generation of decentralized services and software.

The Book of Satoshi, the collected writings of Satoshi Nakamoto, creator of the bitcoin. The foreword was written by Jeff Berwick.
As a collection of spoken internet forum threads, the inclusion of "re:whatever at time and date" before each passage brings TL:DR right off of bitcointalk.com and into audio. Satoshi's writings are less revealing about himself than might be hoped and due to their age, if you're already a BTC user, you'll already know much of it, so it's more a historical than practical listen

The content is interesting for those interested in the theories behind Bitcoin and history of it. The downside is it being a literal reading of a technical book that wasn't adjusted for the spoken form, hence the reading out of some very large numbers and no explanation of diagrams being talked about.

The book starts with a disclaimer that this isn't going to be super technical and will skip conversations on highly technical matters, but despite this it dives right into the mechanisms with a partial prerequisite understanding of key pairs and cryptography 101. most technical people will cope.
If you're the type of person that learns by example, this book will help you understand all the hoo-ha and provide a foundational understanding for keychain and crytocurrencies. hearing the actual conversations from founders as the develop the platform allows you the understand how they established bitcoin and communicated the reasoning for controls such as PoW and mechanisms such as blockchains.
this book personally helped me by answering all the questions I had about the establishment and allowed me to understand the current issues so that I could asses which alt-currency is likely to work most effectively.
Narrator is also a good pick. very easy to listen to due to sound voice control.

excellent information but... no for beginners. the only reason I was able to absorb the information is because I have been investing in cryptocurrency for about a year. other than that the concept was brilliant because we got a chance to see what the creator(s) intially intended 💪🏽

Any additional comments?
I heard about Bitcoin during it's early hype phase, loved the idea, and wrote it off (more interested in Blockchain, but didn't seek writing about it).
Fast-forward to 2015, and I now know it's important knowledge - so this book was an absolutely essential means to catch-up. Information from the people who created and refined the technology.
Can email, papers and discussion board posts be informative, practical? Yes. Each chapter has a prelude that sums up the scenario and information discovered and/or resolved.
Lastly, can this type of reference be narrated in a way that educates? Yes. Narrator reads excellently - even the timestamps.
Get the audiobook to catch up fast, get the print edition for reference later.
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Narrator has a lively upbeat performance. Makes a dry subject exciting. Content comes from the original Satoshi writings.
