Summary

When Speaker Newt Gingrich greeted Dr. David Lewis in his office overlooking the National Mall, he looked at Dr. Lewis and said: "You know you’re going to be fired for this, don’t you?" "I know," Dr. Lewis replied, "I just hope to stay out of prison." Gingrich had just read Dr. Lewis' commentary in Nature, titled "EPA Science: Casualty of Election Politics". Three years later, and 30 years after Dr. Lewis began working at EPA, he was back in Washington to receive a Science Achievement Award from Administrator Carol Browner for his second article in Nature. By then, EPA had transferred Dr. Lewis to the University of Georgia to await termination - the Agency's only scientist to ever be lead author on papers published in Nature and Lancet. The government hires scientists to support its policies; industry hires them to support its business; and universities hire them to bring in grants that are handed out to support government policies and industry practices. Organizations dealing with scientific integrity are designed only to weed out those who commit fraud behind the backs of the institutions where they work. The greatest threat of all is the purposeful corruption of the scientific enterprise by the institutions themselves. The science they create is often only an illusion, designed to deceive; and the scientists they destroy to protect that illusion are often our best. This audiobook is about both, beginning with Dr. Lewis' experience, and ending with the story of Dr. Andrew Wakefield.

You're right to be skeptical about pharma...

If you believed the media about a certain Doctor falsifying data about the MMR vaccination, the extreme hatred and scorn he and his colleagues suffered and wondered why no criminal charges were made, read on...

It's as if it was a test run for something bigger for the future.

The links between Government departments, Media and Big Pharma and the conflicts of interest between the personalities within is a world wide problem.
"Follow the money" is an old saying which should be replaced with "follow the faces" because; it's the same old faces which, at one time, people were ridiculed and branded conspiracy theorists for mentioning their names. Now, these same old faces are quite blatant and yet, some people refuse to accept the truth.

This book is written by one of the biggest "whistle blowers" in the business, certainly not scared of controversy, faces and courts who, have always found in his favour.
Here he exposes the behind the scenes stink of lies and corruption from those we've elected to protect us, those who are meant cure us and those who are supposed to expose the above when they take liberties.

I'm sure if people were more aware of what really happened over the MMR vaccination fiasco by reading both sides of the story, there would have been far less people blindly accepting a vaccination for Covid 19 and condemning those who researched and CHOSE not to take a vaccination as anti vaxxer, conspiracy theorist, Granny killing cranks.

Hopefully we are reaching a point where Millions of people are turning off the TV, switching on a computer or reading a book about the World Health Organisation the links with Mr Gates, the World Economic Forum, Government heads, Big Pharmaceutical companies and a Media owned, financially contributed to and sponsored by Mr Gates, the Clinton Foundation and Big Pharma.

Its a right good old merry go round of mischief and you're right to be skeptical...

Sad state of affairs

Science today is no more dependable than politics, in fact scientific theory is dead, what we are left with is political science I.e. bought and paid for by government to fit their narrative and to slow them to apply policy.

Unfortunately humans Achilles heal is that he can be bought, the scientific community needs an overhaul with harsh penalties for collusion or conflicts of interests. Better still let the public decide and vote on scientific funding that helps society, not science that controls and impoverishes society

Enlightenment comes from a life long study.

This tome is invaluable.
In my own view, the middle section of chapter 15 differs much from my own understanding and learning of our earth and its place in the global collective psyche. I truly believe we are alone and still innocently ignorant of this by way of mass scientific, corporate, governance and media saturation that stifles the free thinking collectives and individuals that either never attempt to follow up any disagreement of cultural dogma or become stagnant in their own personal pursuance of scientific studies outside of the mainstream though and teaching. We are ALL capable scientist, capable of seeing and deceminating clues from the dogmatic innocent ignorance.
I am now in my 68th year and have accumulated many scientific dogmas and discrepancies that I feel are worthy of strong doubt about our existence and perpetuity. I have spent the last 20 years working on my thesis and will remain faithful to its fruition.
I will succeed.

A chore to get through

Good message, painful to get through. I can imagine many giving up before the end. Felt like work.

The last quarter is illuminating

I found rather too much repetition of events confusing though I applaud the authors perseverance. As I mention in the title the elements towards the end were quite impactful and generated some reflection

Anti vaxxer nonsense

Don't waste your time. The author thinks that Andrew Wakefield was correct when his research was fraudulent.
