Summary

In "Relativity: The Special and the General Theory", Einstein describes the theories that made him famous, illuminating his case with numerous examples and a smattering of math (nothing more complex than high-school algebra). Einstein's book is not casual reading, but for those who appreciate his work without diving into the arcana of theoretical physics, Relativity will prove a stimulating read.

Terrible recording, very badly read

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

This is so badly produced that I would not recommend it to anyone.

Has Relativity of Einstein put you off other books in this genre?

My problem is not with the genre, just the production.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

It is very badly read. It is almost impossible to follow the gist of a book like this when the reader puts emphasis and breaths in the wrong places, implying punctuation where there isn't any and ignoring it when it is there. He clearly is not familiar with the topic and it obviously was not proof-read (listened?).

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Relativity of Einstein?

I would replace them all.

Any additional comments?

The recording quality is awful and varies between sections. The best parts sound like they were recorded in a metal box, the worst have annoying background noise.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
