Summary
The legends of samurai continue to captivate us. We wonder if the stories we see depicted in pop culture creations, books, and museums are full of truth or enhanced to make a point.
You are going to experience the fantastic world of the samurai, and learn the code, or Bushido, that these men followed to live up to honor and loyalty for their masters as a way of protecting Japan.
The samurai were highly skilled warriors, fighting for various reasons, even establishing the feudal era known as Edo, with a social caste system that put them on the top. The samurai ruled Japan for several years, fought wars, and eventually became obsolete.
But their traditions and codes are not gone from history. They live on today. Everyone can learn a little something from the samurai, including how to live a better life. Honoring people, staying loyal, and defending others when it is right are all virtues of the samurai that can be continued today.
You are going to learn of the eight virtues, the history of the Samurai, some of the most famous warriors, and then you will discover how you can apply their lifestyle to the modern world. Wouldn’t it be nice if people returned to a more chivalrous nature where lying and devious acts are not acceptable and where being honest, sincere, and courageous are looked upon with reverence?
Discover how you can uphold the traditions of highly skilled warriors and live a decent and kind life as described by Bushido writer Inazo Nitobe, even if you are just a regular person.
What are you waiting for? Buy and listen and learn about Bushido now!

Great Book.!!!
In my job as a truck driver with many hours a day free to listen to books read to me by my kindle I have undertaken a personal little quest to get at least a baseline understanding of as many religions and belief systems as possible.

This book is written unemotionally !!!
This book is written unemotionally by Lord Liverpool. It gives the facts. The terrible facts of how the Japanese conducted themselves in Nanking and in the second World War. Their culture which decreed their Emperor a living god, also decreed that surrender was not an option and they therefore had no respect or regard for their fellow human being; the Americans, the Australians, the British armed forces and the Chinese who did surrender.

Good informative.
Erudite conciliation of east/west traditions with a Christian perspective. Probably as close to the root of the Japanese warrior code that can be found. I am surprised by some of the reviews that indicate that Bushido, or any other major philosophy, could have been conceived and promulgated without the influence of other cultures.
