Summary

Made into the movie Boys Don't Cry. This is the story of Teena Brandon, a woman who passed herself off as a man and had passionate affairs with young women--until she was murdered. Jones' exclusive access to Teena's family, girlfriends, enemies, and convicted killers make this a riveting tale of sexual betrayal and murder.

Narrator sounded like automated customer service rep

This book was pretty difficult to listen to as the narrator sounded like automated an customer service rep. The story itself was ok but, the book was badly written. Kind of like a talented 12 year old wrote it and no one edited it.

Good book

Interesting story but the narration was a bit robotic at times. It just didn't seem to flow naturally. I do enjoy true crime and this had a lot of background detail
