Summary

When I agreed to stand by my best friend, Basia, on her big day, I had no idea what I was in for. Bouquets and unflattering evening wear I can handle. But between disgruntled dates, a beach venue, and suspicious packages, what else can go wrong? Oh, right - my parents don't know I've moved in with Slash. Oops?

Thankfully, I've got everything semi under control, at least as far as Basia and Xavier know. They can leave for their honeymoon happy, knowing Elvis, Slash, and I will keep things safe at home.

Meanwhile, Elvis and Xavier's boss at ComQuest has asked X-Corp - well, me - to take a quick trip to retrieve a sensitive company package from the British Virgin Islands. No hacking involved. Just show up, accept the package and bring it home safely. A cushy assignment, and a safe one. Right?

Wrong. Things start to unravel the minute I set foot on the boat to the island. Before I know it, I'm up to my neck in thugs, sand and trouble. I'm going to have to work fast to stop the bad guys before the sun sets for good on this unexpected beach vacation....

Would you try another book written by Julie Moffett or narrated by Kristin Watson Heintz?

no

Would you ever listen to anything by Julie Moffett again?

How could the performance have been better?

Less silly detail (manicure / pedicure - took longer to read thatn the actual time she spent there. too much nitty critty stuff and lack ofr story moving forward

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Any additional comments?

Fabulous!

Another great adventure with Lexi and the gang! I especially enjoyed the emotional developments throughout the story. You know it’s top tier when you want to read as fast as possible because -hey- you’re loving every word. At the same time you are trying to slow it down and savor it because - hello - you are loving every word! Be good to yourself and read/listen to this book. You will have No Regrets.

I hope the next book picks up the intrigue

I like this series, mostly for the internet, government and corporate espionage. But this book was mostly about Bajzia's wedding. Boring. I am invested in the characters so I kept listening so I could be up to date when the next book, for which I have high hopes.

One of Lexie’s best adventures

Loved listening to this one! The introduction to the LBC spreadsheet was a great idea :). The wedding scene was funny, real and I could visualize it completely. Narrator does an amazing job with the voices and the characters...

Can’t wait for next one. When is next one?

Love her LBC spreadsheet

Fun to see the evolution of Lexi. Though at times the story seemed a little disjointed it was a fun read. The narrators voice of Lexi is wonderful and fun. Unfortunately no improvement on accents. And even more accents in this book again. Also in the first part the narrator seemed over dramatizing a tiredness to each word. I have been an audible reader for years now with limited sit down to read time. I do feel the next book I might just need to read Lexi to enjoy her if it is the same narrator.

another great story!

I love this series! can't wait for the next one so write really fast Julie Moffet! this is such a great series with strong charactors. a great narrator. It is funny, intense, emotional, a little sexual intrigue but without all the sex talk. which i love, but sometimes it is nice without.

Just what I expected...

I’ve read all of the Lexi stories, and this one met my expectations. It was a bit sappier than normal and the storyline was a tad too predictable. However, I always enjoy the writing style and the development of the characters. The humorous moments are great, too! I’m looking forward to the next one—and to finally, at some point, finding out Slash’s real name!!

Usually good

I couldn't finish this when I got to the chapter with the bratty kids.
I will try the next book.
