Summary

One last fling (with danger) before the ring?

Nothing's that simple when you're a geek girl. Julie Moffett's beloved Lexi Carmichael mystery series returns with No Questions Asked.

Lexi Carmichael: saving scientists one snake at a time.

Weddings aren't my thing - never have been. But eloping would break my mother's heart, especially since the president of the United States put in a good word for me with his daughter's wedding planner. I'm going to have the wedding of the year...whether I like it or not.

Before we can say I do, Slash and I are flying off to the Brazilian rain forest. Our mission: stop hackers from stealing a vaccine that could save millions of lives. I thought it'd be easy, but from the moment we step off the plane, I'm up to my neck in trouble.

After an attack by drug-runners, being kidnapped and discovering that the bad guy is even worse than we'd imagined, I'm pretty sure someone in our group is working for the enemy. And they're succeeding. I'll have to use all my geek skills to stop the bad guys if I'm going to make it home in time to tie that knot.

I don’t mind the narrator

The performance of the previous narrator was really off on the last book so I am happy that there is a change.
Not the best but Slash’s accent is closer to that suggested by the book as it is supposed to be hard to tell he is not American whereas in previous books he had a very strong (and odd) Italian accent.
I therefore enjoyed the book and the story was up to the usual standards.

Disappointed in narrator

While I usually like Emily Durante’s narrations she totally missed Slash’s accent. Really
prefer Kristin.

Get Kristen back.

I always look forward to another Lexie story. This one was no exception. Ms Moffett out did herself. The narrator was the only weak point. Slash kept losing his accent' by the end of the book all the accents were the same.

Nope!

I'm not even out of chapter one and I'm returning the book. Do not like this narrator for this book! Slash's voice is so wrong that I can't even listen to it any further, and I was so looking forward to it!

Bring back Kristin!

It was difficult to enjoy the continuing Lexi saga when Lexi's voice was not the same as the previous 11 books. Slash sounded like he was from India, not Italy. I was disappointed. PLEASE bring back Kristin WatsonHeintz!!!

Loved this book and am already so ready for the next one. Exciting book with lots of laughs and some very sweet moments.
Loved the book, the audio book was ok. Its a different narrator than all of the previous books. Not sure why. Slash sometimes sounds Russian, sometimes Spanish and rarely Italian. Lexi sounds good.
They are off to the Brazilian rainforest to help a nonprofit administrator malaria vaccines to indigenous people. They are responsible for protecting the data from hackers that have been trying to get it. With drug cartels, snakes, deadly spiders, a chieftain who things Lexi is an ancient Amazonian decendent, crooked politicians and undercover agents, what could possibly go wrong.

Narrator is different but story is great.

The first thing you notice about this book is the different voice. The job of narrator is very important. When as a reader you become invested in a series on audible, the voice of a great narrator becomes the character's voice. I believe the regular narrator had to have surgery so someone else stepped in. It took awhile to get used to the different voice but I'm glad I did. The book was interesting. I was a little worried at first with lexi going back to the jungle. I was afraid it would be a repeat but it was different. The characters have grown and this book showed that. I enjoyed it.

New narrator!

This book features a new narrator for the series and she does a wonderful job. Lexi sounds a little more nature and the rest of the characters are great.

This series was entertaining, but missed a certain element.

Slash in my opinion has gone missing. His voice had changed, and that was disappointing for me. I found it difficult to move forward in the story. Slash sexy Italian vibe had weakened which was a strong element for the series, in my opinion. In the beginning I couldn’t engage for wondering what happened to the characters. Enough said about that, I enjoyed the story.

No questions asked but some answers received

As expected for a Lexi Carmichael adventure, expect the unexpected. With Lexi’s & Slash’s wedding in the planning stages by Lexi’s mother & Basia, Lexi gets an assignment in the Amazon to help a non profit organization keep hackers out of their formula information on a newly developed Malaria drug for children free of costs. As Slash is on vacation, he decides to go along to help with the job. It’s a roller coaster ride practically start to finish. This series just keeps getting better & better. So now I must wait for the next book release. That’s the hard part for me as this is a great series!
