Summary

Quincy Cavendish was my first real love.

She’s the girl that no other measured up to. No matter how hard they tried. The one that got away, but was always in my sights.

My sweetheart, I loved her when I could and when I shouldn’t.

I was her first kiss. Her first crush.

There’s nothing I wanted more than to be her first everything, but still, I walked away. I let her go when I should have held on tight.

It’s too late to change the past. It’s impossible to do. We’re different people now, but one thing remains the same - my love for her.

I may not have had all her firsts, but I will be all her lasts. I’m loving her for keeps.

We’ve circled each other all our lives, but we’ve never had our moment until now.

ok book

I had a hard time getting interested in the book at first but then after the first couple chapters I got sucked in and had to know all about Quincy and James. I really like how their story ended.

Emotional love story

Quincy and Jamie were childhood friends. They went off to marry others. They come full circle when their partners get together. The story was good. I felt it was drawn out to much and to much circling around all the feelings and emotions. While this story wasn't for me. It may be for someone else.
The narrator kept me going. Oliver is a first listen for me. I enjoyed his voice. He at times didn't do super job on seperation of male and female voices. But overall not to shabby.

My One True Love

My title says it all. The ability to get a second chance to be with the one you know owns the other half of your heart and soul. This had me rooting that they get their happily ever after. Narrator and author is new to me, but will absolutely give them a second go round. This was truly a must listen for me.

Lovely story

This was a beautiful love story that touches on some pretty emotive subjects. I liked that Quincy and Jaimie found love after their respective heartbreak, but the basic swapping of partners was a little too contrived for me - although I do understand Quincy and Jaimie had a past. I really didn't like Richard's character and while I don't find cheating a trigger or dislike it in books, I feel there should have been some repercussions for what he did. As for the narration I found it quite off putting that all the characters were read by a man. It confused me because sometimes I'd forget whose chapter it was. Personally, I would have liked at least different accents or something to discern between each character - particularly Richard and Jamie, they both sounded the same to me. While I enjoyed the story and would read another Alexandra Silva novel, I'm not sure I'd listen on audio unless two narrators/different narrators were used, but that is just personal preference.

No One but You

This was the first narration i've listened to by Oliver Hunt, I really enjoyed his performance. His voice was strong and clear making it very easy to listen to.

This was a debut novel for Alexandra Silva, and it was so very well written.
Quincy & Jaime's story is an emotional second chance roller coaster. The two of them grew up together but life's path divided them, and when they were able to come back into each other's lives they both had someone else. After living separate lives- including spouses & children- while remaining close friends, they've finally got the chance to be together.

Wonderful story!!!

This was a, mostly, sweet story of the love two people share and how it changes. Jamie and Quincy have known each other all of her life. They loved each other in high school but never acted on it. They went to different colleges and each married another.

Neither marriage lasted, and even though they now both live in the same town, they struggle with how their relationship should be. Quincy’s ex-husband is with Jamie’s ex-wife. Should they just remain friends??

Richard is a cheating douche.... I’m just going to put that out there.

There were problems in both marriages... the book tells you why.... but I won’t. You’ll have to listen to find out.

Speaking of listening... this is a first listen for me with Oliver Hunt as narrator, and he’s wonderful! His separation of characters was great! I will listen to him again!

Enjoyable

I for the most part enjoyed this book. I marked down one star because I felt a few parts in the story were a but drawn out and slow for me. I also marked down one star for the narrator because I'm not a huge fan of accents. Now with that being said I did give the story 4 stars because I did enjoy it and I still think the narrator did a good job even using the correct slang with the accent. This story has alot going on and it will feel like you are there with these characters. These characters have so much up and down emotional situations you will feel for them. Overall I enjoyed the story and the easy listening.

just okay

The story just really didnt capture my attention the way I would have liked. I didnt really feel a connection to any of the characters and they were really hard for me to relate to majority of the book. It was somewhat slow at times and I found myself wondering multiple times where the author was trying to take the story. There were also periods where I was reeled back into the story but it was too easy to get distracted while listening and I had to rewind many times to make sure I didnt tune parts of it out.

Really thought I was going to like the narration but found that there just wasn't enough voice differentiation, especially with the different character point of view changes. Then to add accent on top of not knowing who was speaking or whose point of view we were in 80% of the time, just wasn't a good combination. I think I'd have liked the story more if someone else would have narrated. it wasn't a bad performance, just the narrator was not a good fit for this story.

I received a review copy at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Such a beautiful read

🎧Audiobook Obsession 🎧

No one but you was written in such a real and relatable way. Quincy and Jamie have been in love for years but they both took different paths in their relationship. When they finally got together it was so sweet. Their loyalty and support for each other was incredible. Ms Silva also took on some serious medical issues and handled it was dignity and respect. I also loved the family dynamics. Jamie's sisters are terrific and add that touch of humor to the story to lighten the heavy emotions. Oliver Hunt is a new narrator for me and did a good job bringing the characters to life. I look forward to the next book in the series and recommend this to fans of slightly taboo second chance romance.

Be warn Tough subjects ahead

At 1st I was drowned by the pain this MC experienced Author Alexandra Silva wrote an emotionally draining experience, I felt I was going thru her pain, as we forward into the story we are slammed with so many characters I did feel like this can be easier followed by reading/listening at least in those parts or if uninterrupted listning would be best. I did like this book but it was a lot of background infor on secondary characters.

narration was good, my only opinion is because we got a lot of characters maybe a second narrator would have perfected this but honestly he did amazingly.

Great Read

No One But You (Imperfect Hearts #1) was a great read by Alexandra Silva. Quincy was Jamie’s first real love. She was the one that got away that he always thought was in his sights. Although their lives are much different now, Jamie’s love for her has never changed. I loved listening to Quincy and Jamie’s story and can’t wait to read more by Alexandra Silva. Oliver Hunt did a great job of narrating this story. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Good second chance

This is a second chance romance between Quincy and Jamie who have loved each other since childhood, before their lives took them in different direction. There were a lot of emotional and heartbreaking moments, unfortunately they didn't hit me with the punch I was hoping for. I didn't fully connect with any of the characters. I did enjoy their journey of healing and opening themselves up again.

Overall, It was a really good read and i'd continue the series.

I enjoyed Oliver Hunt's voice but I didn't think there was enough of a distinction between voices.

2nd Chance love at its best! The narrator does a fantastic job making me get in my feels! The authors use of humor and tragedy and giving people 2nd chances was true to life! This was an entertaining fun fast read.

Complicated & Emotional

Alexandra Silva is a new author to me. I really enjoyed this second chance romance. It’s a complicated, emotional heart wrenching story of loss, betrayal, divorce and having to work with your ex spouse.

Jamie and Quincy have been best friends for as long as either of them can remember. Both are now divorced and able to act on their feelings for each each other. Their story has a HEA and no cliffhanger.

Oliver did a great job narrating. I love the accent 😍. The only thing that could have been better, is having a female narrate Quincy’s POV. Having male and female POV, needs a male and female as narrators.

What A stunning debut!

As always, I have to state that this book was given to me for free in exchange for a review.
I always like to state that this does not impact my review or my opinion of the book. My reviews are honest and my own opinion of the story, performance, and overall thoughts on the book.

Alexandra Silva has written a story that was very hard to put down. After what I have just read I am stunned that she has not published before. her storyline, the flow, the character development, and the descriptions were so vivid and flawless.

This is a second chance love story, but one with a difference, they both have families and they both have been betrayed in one form or another. Jamie and Quincy have been friends for life, however, their chosen careers and life choices have to lead them in different directions. Due to heartache and betrayal, the two are drawn to each other for support.

The road is not a smooth one for them though, with dramas aplenty and blending families together is not an easy mission to accomplish. once they do give in to their feelings and emotions for one another, Jamie and Quincy certainly sparkle and heat up the pages.

This was such a wonderful story. Alexandra brings in so many different emotions, that you can't help but feel affected. This is definitely a highly recommended book to read. I look forward to many more wonderful reads from this talented author.

I don't get it

This book had great reviews but I don't get it. The opening chapters were confusing. It took me awhile to know who was who and how they were related to each other. People and names were dropped in and I had to stop the listen and go back to see who they were and how they were related. That was a bit annoying.

Once I got the cast of characters all slotted, I noticed that the narrator had a very annoying habit of pronouncing words ending with an "ing" with a very definite "k" sound. Words like "going" became "go-ink." (You never know how many words end in "ing" until you hear them continually mispronounced.)

This was probably a good listen, as other reviewers have said. I just couldn't keep listening to a 10-hour book that made me stop what I was doing to figure out who was talking and then have that person mispronounce "ing" ending words.

I couldn't get through it.

Such an emotional tale!

This story will tear at your heart in so many realistic ways. It is the second chance romance of Quincy and Jamie who have loved each other since they were children, but their lives took different paths. A new author to me, Alexandra Silva, has written a heart-wrenching of love, tragic loss, betrayal, and lack of support when it is needed the most. After all of this heartbreak, the characters are able to heal and open their hearts up to friendship, understanding, and love. Family love provides a strong emotional backing. Quincy and Jamie love their children dearly. Because of this and their jobs, they must work closely with their ex-spouses. This couple is fated to be together, and you can't help but want them to find love with each other. The author really makes you feel the bond these two share together.

Oliver Hunt does an outstanding job of narration. He creates distinctive voices for these characters. He conveys the emotions that the characters are experiencing and takes us on their complex emotional life journey.

I received this Audible book and voluntarily wrote this unbiased review. I highly recommend this Audible book. It will look into the complexities of life and how important it is to leave the heart open for love again.
