Wolf-men, savage creatures given humanoid form in an ancient war, mass along the Gihon River. Two paladins, Jerico of the god Ashhur, and Darius of the god Karak, must lead the desperate defense against the invasion. I love the Paladins and it was the first thing I found of Davids when I got my Kindle. Its a decent shortish book but David's writing has got better in his more recent books.

I found the performance a bit of a struggle though I did get more into it later on.

Well worth reading the book and an ok listen on audible but Skyborn was much better overall.
