The American narrator tried to do a Welsh voice... oh my days... it sounded Cornish, Scottish & Irish!!! NEVER Welsh! The characters were all so unlikeable. You only wanted to know if the protagonist got caught! The story itself was pretty clever..but would have been SO MUCH better with a British narrator. At least it was free!

Why get an American to read a book about British people?

Enjoyed the story on the whole although very off putting to be narrated by an American for an English set book and characters, the few Welsh accent parts were terrible. I kept second guessing if it was set in England or America-very confusing on that part.
Glad it was a free listen or may of returned it and not finished listening.

Don’t understand why this was an American narrator for a British story, the Welsh accent for Belinda was dreadful! Enjoyed the story but found the ending ridiculous

Loved it & sad I have only discovered Gillian White after her death.

Her stories are amazing, shame the narration is so poor, an English story read by an American woman, why?.

This is a brilliant story but I can't help but think that a different narrator would have significantly improved the experience

Story got better as the hours passed, however as it was based in England it would have been much improved with a English sounding narrator.
