After listening to volume 1, I had high hopes for volume 2 and this did not disappoint.

The way it builds lulls you into a false sense of security before plopping you right into the chaos and filth. From body horror that makes The Thing seem tame, to the genuine heartbreak of human cruelty. This volume had me laughing and gagging at the same time! And I loved it. The gentle delivery from Stefan Shaw does nothing to dampen the horrifying journey you’re taken on, and how it ends! I’ll let you experience that for yourself.

This was truly something different from the usual audiobooks I listen to and any horror fan should experience these audiobooks.

This surreal horror ride cranks up everything that made Volume 1 so good. The 90s ad-agency setting is a perfect pressure cooker for dread, and the body-horror weirdness pairs brilliantly with the dark humour, building a vivid, off-kilter terrifying world that can make you shudder, laugh, and gag in the same breath.

The narration feels intimate and dreamlike — unsettling but strangely comforting. If you like horror that’s stylish, psychological, and a little surreal, you will love this.

I think we can all sympathise having a terrible time at work but this workplace is straight out of hell!

We’re on a twisted and surreal journey through a man who’s just trying to live his life but his life is spiralling and getting very strange…

The boss Colin, is the personification of a hellish boss and the horror of the story narrated to perfection by our author takes you through a graphic and twisted reality that left me wondering is this real or are we going through this man’s breakdown in the form of a horror story.

If you’re a fan of the spooky, dry humour and being able to relate to a horrifying workplace then you’ve found the book for you!

Volume 1 set the bar high and Volume 2 takes it higher! Stories that make you smile one moment then give you goosebumps the next. Music and sound effects add to the tension and the stories stay with you long after listening. Highly recommended!

Only a supreme and deranged storytelling mind can take the characters’ banal, quotidian lives on this rollercoaster ride of tastes, smells and bathroom appliances. At times, I found myself questioning and then reevaluating the outer limits of common decency! Add in a healthy dose of Sunday evening dreads / work trauma, a sprinkle of pop-psych ego sacrifice and garnish with a cult / the occult, and you have all the ingredients for a bad night’s sleep. Since it’s so funny, and all delivered with gross humour and the dulcet tones of a man telling you that your electricity account is in arrears, but nicely (which takes the edge off), you’ll have no trouble drifting off at all …
