Summary
This edition is available only to listeners residing in the UK or European Union.
'I stuck my finger under the edge of the paper and jerked it under the tape. "Shoot," I muttered when the paper sliced my finger. A single drop of blood oozed from the tiny cut. It all happened very quickly then. "No!" Edward roared.... Dazed and disorientated, I looked up from the bright red blood pulsing out of my arm - and into the fevered eyes of the six suddenly ravenous vampires.'
For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of an evil vampire but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realise their troubles may just be beginning.

Ilyana Kadushin - great narrator
Even though she's female, Ilyana Kadushin somehow manages to capture Edward's voice perfectly. It's not tht she changes the pitch much, she just gets the right intonation. She's a fantastic reader, especially through all the emotional parts - and there's a lot of emotion in this book. It's probably my favourite of the four Twilight novels.

I honestly have no idea how to live without you
What made the experience of listening to New Moon: Twilight Series, Book 2 the most enjoyable?
Twilight was a grand romance which frequently left me smiling, but New Moon takes on a bittersweet, angst-filled and edgy tone in this continuing dramatic saga of teen love between a vampire and a human. The book gets off to a rather explosive start, but rapidly turns to heavy sorrow when Edward make a fateful decision concerning Bella's safety. Following his decision, Edward is off the canvas for about the next two-thirds of the book, as is the entire Cullen family. During this time, the story is very reminiscent of Twilight in that it moves at a languid but steady pace while extensive character and relationship development occurs. The fall-out to Bella's psyche from Edward's choice is heart-wrenching to read. Stephenie Meyer is so good at writing Bella's agony, that I felt like my own heart had been ripped to shreds. Then a newfound depth in her friendship with Jacob Black, seems to be Bella's saving grace, bringing some sense of peace to her otherwise chaotic life. Still, danger lurks everywhere, bringing a certain level of suspense to the story, which then escalates into a taut thriller when an unfortunate misunderstanding places Alice and Bella in a race against time to save Edward from certain death. With so much going on, New Moon was yet another installment in the Twilight series that was extremely difficult to put down.

A really good read
I decided to purchase this book about 2 months after seeing the screenplay of Twlightlight. The story is both interesting and well read, the characters come to life and the tale holds your attention throughout. Special credit should go to the narrater who is the best I've heard yet. Well recommended if you enjoyed Twilight

Good story, awful narration
I couldn’t even continue through the first chapters. The narration is awful... I couldn’t tell the difference from characters and Edward’s voice... so disappointing. Just listened to Midnight Sun with Jake Abel’s amazing narration, and thought, hey, I might listen to New moon now. No thank you. Thankfully, I’ve read the books before and have an old copy that I’ll re-read..
Would be awesome if it was co-narrated!

Memorable
This is my favourite book. I find it very easy to listen to and like all the characters. The narrator has a very pleasant voice which makes it easy to listen to the story several times.

Brilliant escapism
Any additional comments?
Although this is my least favourite of the series, it is still an excellent book and worth listening to. The story deviates to look at the motivation of other characters which in essence enriches the book and gives the reader for information on the background and history of Jacob. This book has a super ending which is quite nail biting!! I am looking forward to listening to book 3 and 4. The narration isn't bad and I'm glad all of the series has the same narrator.

Never expected to enjoy a book about Vampires!
If you could sum up New Moon: Twilight Series, Book 2 in three words, what would they be?
Jacob for Bella?
What other book might you compare New Moon: Twilight Series, Book 2 to, and why?
One of the early Harry Potter books. The story line flawlessly draws you on and through
What about Ilyana Kadushin’s performance did you like?
Her voice could be that of a teenager. Her diction is clear and the right speed for me. Sometimes the narrator is as important as the story for audio books.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I had trouble "putting down" all the Twilight books
Any additional comments?
Possibly my least favourite of the Twilight books
