The series is enthralling.
Book 2 hasn't disappointed. The story continues straight after book 1 and Sam continues to be optomist8c whatever life throws at her.
Loving the hedgehogs too!

Perfect for anyone looking for a comforting read
Hedgehog Hollow is open for business, but it’s not just hoglets who need Sammy’s help…
This series is simply adorable and the hedgehog theme is really cute and unique. I really enjoyed book one, as it navigated the complexities of loneliness, family life and friendships (the good and the bad bits!) and book two carried on the series beautifully.
Sammy is a warm and lovely character, with a heart of gold and the best intentions. It was great to see her relationship with Josh through his eyes too, as we get to read from his perspective for the first time - which was a nice bonus to the book. The story is a good mix of difficult family dramas and Sammy/Josh’s sense of goodwill that gives the book an uplifting feel - even if Redland isn’t afraid to touch on some darker subjects. She handles issues with sensitivity and optimism, and this is why I’d recommend this series to anyone looking for comfort, reassurance and a sweet read to brighten up a gloomy day.
The narrators read really well and completely captured the voices of the characters, so it’s well worth a listen if you want to hear what the characters are like!

lovely heart warming story
great story and informative regarding hedgehogs. the story line includes all types of family trouble good and bad but you do need a tissue ready at the end

Great story again
I love the books in the series, but all though great story found the joint narrating very off putting, unfortunately James drydon reading some of the time as josh I found hard to listen too.

Lovely but too much gorey hedgehog detail
I consider myself to have a strong stomach but there was talk of so much disgusting hedgehog injury but it put me off my dinner and actually made me gag. Talk of moving scabs, mange and maggots! I liked the story, as it is very easy listening but too much disgusting detail about hedgehogs.

Great 2nd book, lots of hedgehog care tips
Jessica Redland has produced another great book in the hedgehog stories.
Romance, interesting love triangles and much information re the care of hedgehogs and life
I found it fascinating about the world of hedgehogs and have always tried to help them
