Summary

As a forensic genealogist, Willow Anderson is following in her late grandfather's footsteps in her quest for answers about a baby abducted from the hospital more than 20 years ago. The case may be cold, but things are about to heat up when someone makes an attempt on her life to keep her from discovering the truth.

Ex-FBI agent - and Willow's ex-flame - Austin McKade readily offers his help to protect the woman he never should have let get away. Together they'll follow where the clues lead them, even if it means Austin must face the past he's spent much of his life trying to forget. And even if it puts Willow's tender heart at risk.

In this fast-paced and emotional pause-resister, best-selling author Elizabeth Goddard keeps the stakes high, the romantic tension sparking, and the outcome uncertain until the very end.

Great story!

I liked the twist and turns plus the unexpected surprises. Plus I love Christian based books that interweave romance and suspense without losing the Christian principles.

There was very little to dislike, if I had to chose, it would be jumping to different scenes without using a “pregnant pause”. I had to back up the recording a few times to see where one scene ended and another began. (The hard copies of this book would have an extra space or asterisks to denote the change of scenes.)

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romantic suspense books without graphic violence or sex scenes. It’s also great not to have foul language.

I gave this book the maximum stars because of the plot, the unexpected surprises, and the edge of seat action.

Good story

Very well written. The only thing that I can say negative is the fact that the female narrator had a very stuffy nose. The narrator however did a good job changing her voice to suit each female character. The male narrator was excellent.

Narrator

This narrator made the main character seem weak and not intelligent and her accents were not very good. It was a bit hard to listen to.

Story great. Narrative not so great.

Ms Oberman seems to read way too slowly. And she emphasizes in all the wrong spots

Narrator emphasis on the wrong words

I never got used to the narrator for this book. She puts undue emphasis on some words that don't deserve emphasis. It makes it hard to listen even though it's a good book.
