Sometimes, the strangest things can happen, right on your doorstep.

When you find out your best friend and business partner is secretly sleeping with your wife, it may be time to move on.... From your job and your marriage.... Which is precisely what happened to Jamie Newgent.

A change of lifestyle is what’s needed, and a bachelor pad on the fourth floor of a jutting tower provides a new home, a fresh start, and a new chapter in his life.

Little does he know of the weird and wonderful journey he’s about to take, or the effects a temporal rift has on the building plumbing and his troublesome toaster.

He’s living in the middle of an anomaly sandwich, with a retro woman upstairs, and a feisty hippy downstairs. But will either of them become anything more than friends?

And, If it came down to it, would he be able to make the ultimate sacrifice to save a life:

Could he go back to an era before the internet and smartphones?

It was everything you could wish for in a British time travel novel with a side of romance. It's especially good for a debut novel. I'll look for more in the future, should the author continue writing them.
The narration was very good too.

I loved this.

I found this a nice feel good story. easy to listen to, well narrated. started off a bit depressing but soon pick up. there were no surprises in the story, you knew where it was going but it was a very enjoyable listen, and no doubt, I'll listen to it again in the future sometime. recommend

A delightfully uncomplicated time travel story. It's a quick and light listen but probably not for those who take time travel and scientific possibilities seriously.
There were times when the narration could have been better but overall I enjoyed his performance.

Fun and uncomplicated

I could not stop listening to this story. Funny in parts, sad in parts, cliffhangers in parts. Its what we would all do if given the chance of time travel. Enjoy the ride.

Narrator is excellent. Story is great, really get into the characters. Time travel element is good but not over played. Highly recommend, especially if you need a break from dark thrillers etc
