Romantic, suspenseful and fast pace

For a relatively shorter audiobook, this book has quite a bit going on. As book two of the series, it kind of picks up where the first ends except that this book focuses on Nate and Sophie. Their chemistry is strong, sexy and full of promise, not counting the dark cloud that seems to be hovering over Sophie. She has a stalker and Nate will do all he can to keep her safe as their connection grows. (To be clear, this audiobook is stand alone.)

I enjoyed this audiobook. It is fun, suspenseful, very sweet, as well as quick and easy to listen to.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

good story

I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

I enjoyed this story as much as book one. A great mystery/romance story. Lissa Blackwell did a good job with all the parts the sound was a little tinny but you got used to it after a while. A great short story.

Sophie and Nate

NATE is the second book in the Brothers in Blue series, and having so enjoyed Nick I was looking forward to listening to this one. It is a story which can stand alone but I think it's better to listen to them in order because Sophie and Nate met during the first book and it's always good to have some background information.

This is a fast-paced, action-packed, suspense romance with really likable characters in Nate and Sophie. The story features a stalker whose identity was obvious from the start but Sophie herself never mentioned him to the police, why not I asked myself? The romance aspect of the story was good but how Sophie went from being an unemployed art teacher to shop owner with an assistant in a few short weeks was unrealistic I thought, even with the help given her by Nate.

Lissa Blackwell did a good job with the narration of the book, I found her voice easy to listen to.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

These Baker Brothers will melt your heart.........

Nate is the second book in this series about three brothers in a close family, all of whom are police officers, except for their mother. Although I have read the series in order and, therefore, might not be the best judge of this, I think Nate can be enjoyed as a standalone. Sophie and Nate met in the first book when her best friend falls in love with his brother. This book starts with the two becoming reacquainted, and Nate is quick to sweep Sophie off her feet with his kindness and his complete focus on her. They begin a passionate affair that is continually hampered by the appearance of a dangerous stalker in Sophie's life.

Sophie was raised in the foster care system and has never felt like she had a family, so Nate is even more special to her because he invites her into his large and welcoming family. Nate is the perfect mix of strong, dominate alpha male and sweet talking teddy bear. There is nothing that he will not do to keep Sophie safe and to make her a part of his life. Even though she had an extremely difficult, scary and lonely childhood, Sophie is a strong, determined woman, and she is the perfect match for Nate. Watching these two fall in love is made even more exciting with the threat of a stalker skulking in the background. I highly recommend this book for fans of low angst, high suspense romances.

Lissa Blackwell's narration is excellent. She doesn't differentiate overly between characters, but I enjoyed how her narration was like storytelling. Her delivery was flawless, and she used the perfect tone and inflection for the varying moods of the story.

Dreams come true

Well written, no repeats from the first book. l often worry about that when authors write series.
Narrator is good clear pronunciation. some echo in the sound or hollow sound sometimes.
The characters are well created and could live next to you.
Overall a good book with sweet happy ending.

Love Found By Policeman Nate and Artist Sophie

Nate and Sophie met in the first book of this series when Nate’s brother and Sophie’s friend fell in love.
The instant connection grows to be more and when the action and suspense begins their feelings escalate.
A stalker has Sophie afraid and Nate protective...but who is the stalker and does the stalker mean Sophie harm? What of harm to Nate or those around her.
Action, romance, sex, suspense and family...all keep you interested and involved in the story.
The narrator was a nice job, she puts feeling into the story, changes pace and volume was appropriate

Short, Hot and Good

Although I liked book ONE better, Nate didn’t disappoint. There are some hard to believe aspects but keeping in mind that it’s a story for fun, it works out fine.
Lissa Blackwell does another excellent job!

GREAT SERIES!

I absolutely loved it! This book is part of a series but you really don't have to read them in order to enjoy them. I actually read Noah first then Nick. You will get an easier flow with the characters if you do read them in order though! This book is full of suspense from start to finish. The narration was great and will keep you entertained. This author does an excellent job with the character builds and plot. I look forward to reading more books from this author. It would be nice to keep the series going with the sisters (hint)! Loved It!

Nate was even better than Nick, fast paced and a cliffhanger until the end. Looking forward to listening to Noah.

Great Audiobook

This is a terrific, fast-paced suspense romance! It was easy to figure out where the storyline was headed, but it more about the relationship and romance! Great listen!

A GREAT LISTEN

NATE is the second book in the Brothers in Blue series. While this stands completely on its own, it is better to read them all and in the order of release.

This is a terrific, fast-paced, action-packed, suspense romance! Though the stalker’s identity was too obvious (no red herrings to keep you guessing) and the economic status of the heroine (from unemployed art teacher to shop owner with an assistant in a few weeks), I still enjoyed the story. I recommend suspending a little reality and experience the romance and suspense.

I would love to read (listen to) more of this series. There is one more brother…. and two more sisters in the Baker family.

Narration: The narrator, Lissa Blackwell, has a sweet melodic voice. She does an admirable job of giving the different characters different voices, though I did wonder why Sophie had a southern twang to her voice when she was a “true Chicagoan.”
The production quality needs work. Bathrooms have wonderful acoustics – for singers working on practicing their projection. As audiobook studios, they are echo chambers.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
