Summary

Individuals with Narcissistic Personality Disorder engage in chronic devaluation and manipulation of their partners, a psychological and emotional phenomenon known as narcissistic abuse.

I hope with all my heart that this guide can help those who at this moment find themselves sunk in a relationship with individuals who have narcissistic/malignant personality disorders, the individuals in question are often called psychos, very often inappropriately, by those who do not know exactly what it means to deal with an individual with this type of personality and peculiarity.

I will not talk about the events I had with them specifically out of respect, but I will demarcate the guidelines and behaviors that these people implement in most cases, first to suck the soul and feelings out of the prey, and then to leave it in oblivion and in total confusion.

Pathological mind games, covert and overt put-downs, triangulation, gaslighting, projection, these are the manipulative tactics survivors of malignant narcissists are unfortunately all too familiar with. As victims of silent crimes where the perpetrators are rarely held accountable, survivors of narcissistic abuse have lived in a war zone of epic proportions, enduring an abuse cycle of love-bombing and devaluation.

In this book, survivors will learn:

  • Eight signs you are suffering from Narcissistic Abuse Syndrome.
  • How they control your mind.
  • Six keys to build immunity to Narcissistic Abuse.
  • Tips for people who have suffered abuse from narcissist.
  • The motives behind narcissistic abuse and techniques to resist a narcissist's manipulation.

This book gave me a new life

This book finally explained what I have been through the last 6 years. I legit thought I was crazy. After the 4th and final discard that landed me inpatient at a psych ward, I thought that this is what my life would be. And then I started listening about narcissistic abuse and my eyes were opened. This is literally life-changing. I am so grateful for this book and its a wealth of resources.

A well balanced book.

A well-balanced book. A lot of important information gathered in this book. This being the case, you might argue that narcissistic abuse isn’t a conscious or purposeful behavior on the part of the narcissist; rather, you might view this abuse as simply an unfortunate, but inevitable, byproduct of trying to establish loving or mutually respectful relationships with people who are entirely unable to uphold their end of the bargain.

Bless you, for writing this book.

Bless you, for writing this book. There isn’t a word I’ve to listen to that did not accurately describe my ex. Amazingly, I keep forgetting who he is, I guess I find it hard to believe that such horrid people can exist. I’ve listed there is no cure for malignant narcissism and I don’t know why I think I can help heal this man. I am no man's savior, I must remember this. Thank you the author for this book, I am a work in progress.

very insightful.

This topic is a sub-topic within a larger group of narcissistic abuse - it deals with the kind of abuse that is hidden, covert, manipulative in such a way that it's often not noticed until major damage has been done, making it extremely insidious.

I'm listening to the advice in this book.

I realized while listening to this book that I had already started part of the process outlined in this book. I immediately felt relief and validated. My dad is a psychiatrist and I spoke at length to him about parts of this book. He was glad that I found it it was listening to it. I may not listen to my Dad all the time but I'm listening to the advice in this book.

Author did a very good job!

I lived with a narcissist for nearly 11 years, and this book helped me to experience some healing by understanding the narcissist as a whole. For anyone who has ever had a relationship with a narcissist or any other toxic person, they should listen to this book.

this was a great listen

I am not even halfway through this book and all I can say is "Wow! Just WOW!" The author is saying so many things that need to be said. There is so much information with a nice twist of humor. I love the humor because this is a tough subject. Buy this book and listen to it! It will NOT disappoint!!

Quick listen!

I've read a lot of books about Narcissism, this book goes much deeper into the how and why and covers new ground. An excellent book for someone who is seeking healing from narcissist relationships (partners and parents and employers) who has already read a lot of the literature and is looking for deeper information instead of a lot of personal stories.

Forever grateful!

The author is ahead of our time. I couldn't have been in a darker place in my life when I found this book, after suffering at the hands of an abuser who was also a narcissist. This book gives you hope above all else, and it's easily relatable if you have gone through abuse. The author is a talented, strong, real force of nature kind of author. I have learned, survived, and thrived in the time that I have made this purchase. The author is also a teacher, she gets it. This book will uplift you and also slam you with the truth so that you can rise and walk away. Always grateful to this author who has contributed to my awakening and my struggle with finding myself again. Forever grateful!

Excellent book

Not one example in the entire book. Redundant information presented in a very generalized way. Like a horoscope, anyone can find something they can relate to in this book.

Great book!

I would have liked to have seen more empowering self-help guidance. Being fresh out of a narcissistic relationship, I was luckily well informed about the attributes of a narcissist. However, I hoped to get more from the book in the sense of empowerment and what lies next for me.

This book make good sense on narcissist abuse

Thanks to two different friends of mine, I was able to know that "narcissist abuse" exists. Then I found this book and EVERYTHING that I had experienced made sense. It's hard to listen to this, is shocking, is an eye-opening, it validates all the "crazy" thoughts I had. One of the hardest decisions, when I left my narcissist partner, was to split our family, but I noticed through the years, that his discourse only went from "bad" to worst and every promise he made he broken almost immediately. So, I didn't try a couple of therapy because I noticed how easy he could manipulate and articulate words than even made me doubtful of my truth, so it made sense for me to not even try it. This book gave me peace of mind, that I was not crazy and that I did the right thing, especially when I was being mentally abused.

This book is saving my life.

This book is saving my life. I was raised and abused by a narcissist mother and am now married to a man whom I strongly suspect is also one. We've been together for over six years, but in the last year or two, he has become abusive and has been using my mental illnesses (anxiety and depression) to manipulate me into believing that my experiences are not real. He has tried to do the same to the court and law enforcement by lying and saying I tried to commit suicide in front of my children and am therefore dangerous. This same man claims that he cares for me and was concerned, yet spent the previous 24 before that telling me I'm worthless, to abandon my children because they would be better off, and to leave a note giving me him full custody and all our belongings.
