Poppy Dunsfield needs a job.

The story was light, with some spice. BUT i couldn't get over detesting the fmc.
There is a ton of miscommunication as he struggles to be a father figure to his best friend orphan. She is utterly unprofessional and childish at times, couldn't stand her.
For some, it would probably be fine, but it was not for me.

The narrator did a good job and the storyline was okay. I recommend for an easy listen. I don't think I would waste a credit on it though.....glad it was free!

This story just feels way too rushed. It literally goes from 0-100 in no time at all. The FMC went from saying no to him, being mad and offended that he decided to ignore her and the child after she told him no, to wanting to confront him and then in a split second she’s suddenly naked and going right at him with it. No build up, no character connection. Just felt awkward and far too rushed. Not a fan. Felt like chapters were missing.

The characters and storyline had great promise but the story stutters and trips along. The narration lacks conviction, especially Cadmus’s character. Poppy I only marginally better. I’m just glad this wasn’t my first Molly Taiden book because it is not her best work.

I have read a LOT of Milly Taiden's books, and all I can say is that I don't recognise this book as being written by her.
So I am really wondering if it was written by AI!
The repetitions, one minute the child is a baby, the next she is a toddler, then she is back to being a baby! 🙄
I stuck with listening to the end, I some hope that there was some redemption, but sadly No, not in my opinion.
The Narrators must have been very frustrated doing this audio recording.
I finished there book yesterday, but waited until today to write the review.
