One of the best readers
I always loved David Suchet in Hercule Poirot Listening to him reading the Bible, in my opinion, took him to the highest level of his talent.

Excellent presentation of the NIV translation
This translation is well read by David Suchet. The recording has no background music, and I prefer it this way. Background effects can be distracting.
Bibles on Audible are not normally very navigable, because the chapters are not very easy to find. However, with the Bible in a year, this doesn't matter, as it's only meant to be heard sequentially.

Brilliantly read
I started reading the Bible In One Year but fell behind very quickly, so decided to listen to it on audio. David Suchet’s wonderful narration bought it to life in a way that the written page simply couldn’t, and I found myself choosing this over my current audio novel! Genesis beats any modern plot!

So brilliantly read, I would highly recommend this to someone who is daunted by the prospect of reading the whole bible. It’s helpfully broken down into manageable daily chunks.

Great way to “read” the bible.
David Suchet is the perfect choice to read the Bible.
His delivery and expression really help with the understanding of it.
I start each day by listening to at least one day’s readings.

Fabulous Bible reading & my favourite audiobook
I only downloaded this day-by-day reading of the Bible a week ago & it's already my favourite in a library of 233 titles. I have conventional bibles but for have been using this format of Psalms/Proverbs + New Testament + Old Testament readings for some years. However, I'm a fast reader & the habit of skim reading has proved to be impossible to break... until now. I follow David Suchet's reading in my Bible & it forces me to slow down and his wonderful reading lends meaning to the words. Such a joy to listen to & to read along.
I had no problem finding the right date. I just skipped through Tracks/Audible Chapters listening to the dates announced until I found the right one. It took a couple of minutes.
However, I had glitches with playback as the wrong readings interrupted on a couple of days. eg Listening to Hebews & suddenly I was listening to the story of Noah from Genesis! Audible sorted me out, I needed to change Single-Part download to Multi-Part download in the settings so now have 12 parts rather than 1 huge one. It's fine now.
While I was talking to Audible I mentioned that just because this is meant to be read on a day-to-day basis this Bible is still a work of reference & suggested they give us a pdf reference sheet to allow us to navigate when
* Starting to listen on a date other than 1st January
* Find the location for a specific Bible passage ie track & date
* Catch up/start listening again when dates have been missed.
A personal use for a reference sheet... I've been listening to random passages when I can't sleep in the middle of the night & David Suchet's voice & words of the Bible have been so soothing & takes my mind away from concerns. In the morning I need to find the current date.
I've sent in a written request and suggested they read the reviews as almost all of us who have bought this audiobook would welcome it. Also told them their sales would benefit!

NIV Bible Audio
David Suchet reads very well.
It would have been helpful to have known that the book starts it's one year reading on January 1st, instead of month 1 day 1. No functionality on books, chapters and verses. If you want to listen to three separate parts of the word of God, ignoring the months and days, if you don't mind no functionality for study, I recommend this audio book for a very good way to hear the Holy Scriptures.

This is a balm to the soul. Let the word of the Lord wash over you.
I listen on the way to work and it sets me up for the day.
It is beautifully read by David Suchet- May the Lord bless both him and his work.
