Summary

Paula has had Robert's back since they got together as drama students. She gave up her dreams so he could make it. Now he's one of the nation's most popular actors. And Paula's just discovered he's having an affair.

She's going to remind Robert just what he's sacrificing, and then she's going to break his heart like he broke hers. It will be her greatest acting role ever. Revenge is sweet. Isn't it?

Double double cross

Enjoyable and thoroughly credible story. Interesting enough not to want to leave too long before picking up again the story has some nice little red herrings in it and a very cute /clever ending. Worth a read

Sweet sickly unbelievable mush

Was really looking forward to this book
Read the reviews and they were ok
It started off good with great potential but quickly became very silly and totally unbelievable
The situations in the story just would not happen in real life
Such a shame

Worth a listen

I was hooked from the first chapter so that's obviously a good start. The rest of the story is worth a listen. Some bits were a bit muddled, but overall I enjoyed it. This was hugely helped by two excellent narrators- makes such a difference with an audiobook.

Absolutely amazing listen! Was hooked from the sample and only took me less the 3 days to finish!!!

One of my favourite authors now, it is my first book of hers ive ever listen to (read)

Cant wait for more in the future!

Its very enticing and exciting and almost gets you screaming out or shaking your head in disappointment for the characters meaning you get very involved as if its your friends its happening to!

FABULOUS

Brilliant Book!! Recommended!

What did you like best about this story?

It kept me guessing throughout. The 2 narrators made it extra enjoyable with each one telling their own tale. Paula was so lovely and didn't deserve to be treated like that by her husband.
Saskia was a vile person. I don't know how she continued to do what she did to Paula after getting to know her. I was really looking forward to see how things wold unfold for then both.
I thought that I knew what was going to happen in the end - but I was wrong!!

Any additional comments?

It would make a great TV series. Along the lines of Doctor Foster!!
Are all Saskia's vile? This is the 3rd book I've read over the last few years where the horrible female in the book was called Saskia!! (Apologies if that's your name!)

Great Fun

What did you like most about My Sweet Revenge?

I liked the pace, the twists and the humour.

What did you like best about this story?

I don't want to give anything away but I liked the way several things weren't what I first supposed them to be (including the main character's starting weight).

Which scene did you most enjoy?

I liked the comments around the hot yoga classes.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes

Very Enjoyable

A very enjoyable listen, good narration and clear character portrayals making it easy to follow.

Good storyline that keeps you engaged, but not that complicated that you can't pick up again quickly if you momentarily become distracted.

I could easily listen to this again, it had me chuckling in places.

A Surprising Treat!

This was a fun, sassy novel with a likable protagonist, who isn't as predictable as most women in chick-lit novels. I liked that she took matters into her own hands and I enjoyed the writing style of this author. It is really hard to find light, fun fiction that isn't silly or massively predictable, and Jane Fallon delivered. I will definitely keep an eye on this author!

My Sweet Revenge

After reading Faking Friends by the same author I thought this book would be as good. No way I have tried several times to read it but can only get to first few chapters. The story is very ordinary. I loved Faking Friends one of the best but this one should be in the romance package with all the other books not worth reading. Tried Got you Back by this author but not for me.

A Bit of a Bore

I enjoy Jane Fallon's style of writing - witty and crisp - but this novel was disappointing and a bit of a bore. The entire premise upon which it was structured borders on the absurd. None of the characters are likable; the protagonist's weight loss storyline was tedious and banal, while the plot to fatten her rival was simply juvenile and a non-starter.

In short, I would recommend that fans place this title at the bottom of your Fallon reading lists, to be deployed only when all else fails.

I love Jane Fallon books

I wasn't a fan of the short synopsis so I resisted getting this book for a while. I read a few others and kept coming back to Jane's books trying to find my next read that compared to Faking Friends. This, like her other book, has a lot of twists and turns. It does start fairly slow and it takes awhile to get into, but by midway, I couldn't stop listening. very fun and creative!

Horrible

This book could have been so good if only...there was an actual plot. There was a moment, toward the end, when I thought finally something was going to happen, but nothing (and I mean NOTHING) ever materialized. Not sure why the author titled it My Sweet Revenge, when the wife was too pathetic to actually follow through on anything. Complete waste of time and money.

Similar Plot to Other Books but Interesting

I picked up this book after reading another book by Jane Fallon. The plot of the two books were pretty similar, almost identical but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. The subtle differences in detail were enough to keep me entertained. Fun and light and interesting

Brilliance from start to finish

My friend recommended this book to me. A funny, yet slightly sad, storyline with a surprise ending. Had a great plot and the story unfolded so well. Narated perfectly. Can't wait to read her next book.
