About this listen

For the first time ever unabridged and read by the author, this audiobook is a testimony of true humanity-filled with adventure, life lessons and hope for our world.
From the time she was a girl, Jane Goodall dreamed of a life spent working with animals. Finally she had her wish. When she was twenty-six years old, she ventured into the forests of Africa to observe chimpanzees in the wild. On her expeditions she braved the dangers with leopards and lions in the African bush. And she got to know an amazing group of wild chimpanzees-intelligent animals whose lives, in work and play and family relationships, bear a surprising resemblance to our own.
MY LIFE WITH THE CHIMPANZEES is a seminal work from one of the world's leaders on species conservation, and inspirational listening for all ages.

Very inspiring and motivating for all ages, yet some parts are very sad and brought tears to my eyes…but truthful in every way about how we’re treating animals, the environment and the planet as a whole.
Many thanks to Dr Goodall and all who contributed to this fantastic book.

Excellent

Jane
started with that love of her dog, think that made the book very relatable, I loved her patience and sense of adventure though mostly she talked about epic adventures in such a calm manner - wow.

Enjoyed it but it was a bit patronising at times telling you what was obvious as if you didn’t know it. Not much detail in anything. A lot of story but very condensed. Animal noises a bit irritating at times made it like a child’s story.
But I did enjoy it and would like to have heard more chimpanzee stuff.

Good on the whole.
