a bit of depth to the story (good). you empathise with the characters (good) the last hour of the story is rattled off in 10 minutes (bad) and leaves loads of unanswered questions.

Beautiful, moving story, but...
My husband's Wife is great story, but it takes patience and time to get on the way. The middle section is absolutely fantastic. But the final part of the story lacks depth and it feels as if they author had to meet a deadline.
The author who is also the narrator has a very pleasant voice to listen to, but as one can't always identify which character is speaking, the dialogues sometimes get a bit confusing. You sometimes have to rewind th
a recording, for it to make sense.
Having said this, I am going to listen to the author's next book. All in all I found the book intriguing.

She took me with her
I really felt for the main character Rosie. She was believable and likeable and she took me on the journey with her.
I'd have liked a little more complexity or challenge to my thinking but a nice easy listen.
I was wary to see that the author read the audiobook as think it is a real skill to narrate a book, but she was really professional and skilled.

Realistic divorce story
I quite enjoyed this story of a small town woman and her family that becomes brokeh due to an infidelity. The story was realistic and gave a good picture of how devastating divorce can be, but a little less so towards the end. however, I felt that it was done well enough to qualify as a four. The author herself was the narrator, and although she did a decent job was not outstanding.

Count your blessings
I liked the story line. Any mom or woman will easily connect with Rosie. The banter between mom and girls was comical. It's sad that this scenario happens all too often but it is real life. Families splitting up affects more than just the hubby/wife/kids. You really see that and it puts everyone in the middle or forces people to take sides. I hate it!!! I'm torn with the ending. I get it but I would've love to hear a little more on how Rosie ended up where she did. Narrator was very good. Can't wait to visit London.

A nice read, albeit tough at times to get through
What made the experience of listening to My Husband's Wife the most enjoyable?
I thought the author who was also the narrator did a great job. Her emotion throughout was so believable and touching that I was so much more drawn in than I usually am when listening to a book.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Rosie of course! Amanda Prowse captured the essence of Rosie beautifully through the use of her voice. I could relate to a great deal of what Rosie felt and expressed at times throughout the book. It had it's difficult moments for me.
Which character – as performed by Amanda Prowse – was your favorite?
Rosie - for all the reasons above.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Rosie lost it all. The pain, despair, and loss were very deep.

Lacks credibility
I found it hard to get into at first because it took many chapters before it became interesting. It also lacked credibility in parts.
