About this listen

Once a week Rosie Tipcott counts her blessings. She goes to sit on her favourite bench on the North Devon cliffs and thanks her lucky stars for her wonderful husband, her mischievous young daughters and her house by the sea.

But then her husband unexpectedly leaves her for another woman and takes the children. Now she must ask the question: what is left in her life? Can Rosie find the strength to rebuild herself? More importantly, does she even want to?

I only read books or listen to them in bed so, having to go to bed earlier every night to see what happened next means that the book was really good.

Loved it

A reasonably good story was rather spoilt by the narration....same voice for every character , difficult to differentiate between adults and children at times....

Poor Naration

This was a very difficult listen in places as my own experience so mirrored Rosie's and some of the emotional fallout was described exactly as I'd felt it, so real I thought that the author must surely have been in a similar situation. However, I'm really glad I listened to this book even though it reminded me of an utterly devastating and bleak time in my life - it was perceptive and thought provoking, and without giving anything away, it has a happy ending!

Resonated with my own experience, so a good listen

I found this book really sad, it broke my heart in places. Never a truer word said!

I really enjoyed this audio book, I normally listen to audio books at bedtime but I had to listen to this in the day too because I was staying up until the early hours to find out what happened next!
Very well narrated.
