Full of warmth and affection

This was informative, interesting, relatable and beautifully written. A fantastic format, subjecting the listener to relive their memories nature through the changing British seasons.

Very different to Monty's other books. more like a diary, sharing interesting things he sees in his garden and farm, and some facts about them. I was surprises that he isn't a fan of bats or moths, and he even makes lichen interesting. Very well written, not overly sentimental, just the reality of nature. The tribute to Nigel made me cry.

So complete with memories and observations it has been a joy to listen to My Garden World - so very much more than a countryman’s year. Monti Don’s reading of his book conveys completely the importance of the need to understand the balances within our world.
His appreciation is in every anecdote and story. Thank you Monti Don!

I didn't really know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Monty Don has gone into great detail to write his garden world with lots of interesting nature facts and detailing the diversity in his garden.
