And when Drew, caught up in the moment, suggests that he and Poppy don’t tell each other anything about their past lives, that they live only for the here and now, for the future they are building together, Poppy jumps at the chance for a fresh start. But it doesn’t take long for Poppy to see that this is a two-way deal. Drew is hiding something from her. And Poppy suddenly has no idea who the man she has married really is, what he is hiding from her or what he might be capable of.

Summary
The brand-new domestic thriller from the number one best-selling author of Obsession.
A new couple moves in next door. And nothing will ever be the same again....
I watched you move in next door and thought we might be friends.
I saw you watching from the window - and knew I’d have to keep you well away from my husband.
I started to trust you. Confide in you.
I started to mistrust you. Suspect you.
I was confused when I blacked out after an evening at your place. Was I really that drunk?
I came up with a plan. A plan to make you both pay....
Sexy and sinister - this audiobook will keep you up all night.
Critic reviews
"The tension builds and builds and then...BAM! Dark, gripping, brutal. I loved every minute." (Jackie Kabler)
"...A wickedly twisty plot with a satisfying end." (Emma Curtis)
"Dark and utterly twisted. What a ride!" (Sam Carrington)

Not for me
Started slowly and didn’t get much better. The story seemed implausible and, for me, a long stretch of the imagination. The ending was also very weak.
Overly descriptive in some places as well as being repetitive in the use of the same descriptions.
The heavy use of brand name dropping seemed unnecessary and didn’t add much to the story.
I also found the female narrator very grating. Read too slowly and overly punctuated.

Stupid
I can't believe I even finished this book, I kept thinking it must get better or I must be missing something and if I kept listening it would turn out to be quite good but I should have just stopped. The narrating was dreadful, the two women sounded identical and the voices were so stiff and clipped there was no emotion at all. Plot was ridiculous, and every one of them would have been prosecuted for wasting police time in real life! I had it on a fast speed because it was SO slow to listen to and even at a fast speed it didn't end soon enough for me. What a waste of time and money.

Hidden Gem!!!
NO SPOILERS! I listen to 100s of thrillers and many bore me to death, but not this one. I won’t give anything away, you really should just enjoy the ride. The narrators were fantastic. Matt Addis was perfect for the character of Allister. Both the narrators couldn’t have been more perfect for the voices of these characters.
I recommend this to anyone who loves domestic psychological thrillers! More people should know about this book!

I savored this British “psycho”logical thriller
I’ve discovered another brilliant author, Amanda Robson. She weaves a compelling thriller with exceptional and precise flair; there is not a dull moment. Laura Costello and Matt Addis are exceptional narrators and bring these sinister and toxic characters to vivid life. Just when I thought the end of the book was near, fortunately for me, it was not. Subplots abound and I anxiously listened for more; I was not disappointed. Surprises, twisty-turns and jaw-dropping moments I never saw coming continued throughout. That ending, wow! Worth a cherished credit, however, I preferred to pay the $9+. I never use a credit on a book under $12 or so. Highly recommended! I so do enjoy my British audiobooks, and “My Darling” proves why. Thank you to author and narrators, as well as Audible for making this deliciously creepy and gripping book available. Epic, I say, EPIC!
NOTE: Listen intently as not to miss one moment of this complex and addictive book.

Great story!
Great thriller that kept me entertained. I found myself confused at some parts of the book and I had to go back and repeat parts I already listened to in order to get the plot right. The male characters had me confused but it all came together in the end! I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future.

Too Long and with 0 Substance
This is very much a tell-not-show book. And the plot was unnecessarily long and convoluted, as if the author was being forced to keep writing even though the story could’ve finished much earlier.

A great 'just one more chapter' read!
This book was indeed different. I felt as if I were watching a movie would I read, the crashes just playing out before my eyes. I was hooked from the very beginning, I love the way this author writes and I may have luck I'll another if get titles. There was so much going on on this book but I was able to keep up with it all. The book is told in second person from each character with past memories thrown in as well. Only, you aren't certain who's memories you are reading until later in the book. I thought I had if all figured out a couple times but was proven wrong each time. The only thing I didn't like about this book was the ending. It made no sense to me why the author chose to end it the way she did. There's no real closure. I expected an epilogue but found none. If your playing on reading this title just to pass time, don't. To read this title you need to block off some time because you'll keep wanting to know what happens next. The chapters are fairly short so, the whole 'just one more chapter' just continues until the book is finished. I will definitely be reading this again in the future.

Hmmmm...
I didn’t want it to end, but wasn’t into it until halfway through. I had to rewind several times until I remembered everyone’s name and who they were with, and the short, choppy paragraphs were..... different. Several of the scenes were completely unrealistic and off the rails, but it was still a very creative, twisty plot with amazing performances.... I loved these narrators!

Slow & predictable
I liked the writing style and performance. Other than that, nothing good to say about this book. Very drawn out… slow… many things described in great detail that had no impact or significance to the story line… absolutely zero clever twists. I kept waiting for something unexpected or intelligent to happen, but nope. Probably the most predictable book I’ve ever listened to.

Good story, but a hot mess I thought.
I enjoyed the story overall, but only after wading through and figuring out who's who and when constantly until a certain point when it became clearer what the heck was going on. I have listened to other books where it can be confusing where you are in the timeline etc, but thought this one was very bad for that. Why the heck don't authors say present and past or before and after or whatever in order to avoid confusing and annoying the reader. Some authors do actually do it right and I so prefer them.
