Brilliant!

My Blood Buns Blue is a fantastic start to a new series. Stacy Eaton is a talented author with a diverse style, and she did a brilliant job composing an urban fantasy/paranormal romance. The storyline is engrossing, it sucks you in, immersing you from start to finish. The world-building is nicely done, the imagery is vivid, and the police investigation and the addition of supernatural creatures makes this book utterly entertaining. The main characters are absolutely intriguing, well-rounded, bold, and capable with appealing personalities. The romance component is a plus, the connection between the characters is palpable, with electrified chemistry

Outstanding narration by Alex Black. He captures the essence of the characters, the emotions, and animations, bringing the entire story to life. My Blood Runs Blue is a perfect blend of an engaging storyline, characters, and outstanding narration; I highly recommend this audiobook.

Great start to this series!

I have to start by saying, I do not normally listen to paranormal books, but because I love Stacy Eaton’s writing, I thought I would take a chance. And I loved it! This different twist on the legends of vampires is enticing and had me at the first chapter. Kristen is a police officer who is investigating the murder of a local girl whose throat is ripped open. Never has she seen anything like this. Now approached by two men, who bear familiarity to her, she finds herself in a déjà vu love triangle. But does who does she choose, and why? This story has so much going on, I became engrossed in the details. Kristen is a wonderful character. I love strong women, and she is very independent. She is determined, and curious and proves to be a loyal and loving person. Julian and Alex are intriguing and their story is fascinating. The integration of vampires in our everyday life is melded in a believable way and lets us fall into the violence and romance of their world. I enjoyed this first book and am looking forward to where Eaton builds her vampire world.

Alex Black gives a good performance. He has a good pace and enjoyable voices, though at times it was hard to distinguish who was speaking. I enjoyed his ability to inflect suspense and have us on the edge of our seats. It is an enjoyable listen and I will be watching for the next installment.

Second chances

What a great read / listen. This is book 1 in Eaton's new series My Blood Runs Blue series and can be read / listened to as a stand alone. I wasn't sure what to expect when I stared this listen but it completely blew me away! A paranormal - vampire romance read with mystery, suspense, heartache and emotion. These main characters are so incredibly strong - I especially loved Kristin who stays true to who she is - no matter what. I love that this book is about second chances, in every aspect. Kristin finds herself in the middle of a love triangle - who will she choose? Julian or Alex - both make her blue blood boil with amazing chemistry! I can't wait for more!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Reincarnation!

This is a fantastic paranormal romance! I found this story to be well written and narrated. The narrator brings this unique storyline to life. He does a great job with the characters and voices of each character which makes it easy to distinguish between the characters and voices of each character. He also does a magnificent job with male and female voices. If a narrator doesn’t preform the different voices it can ruin the story. I have definitely listened to enough audiobooks to say that I have a love of good narrator’s. I definitely recommend this book.

A Great Start

A great start to a new series. Kristin feels like something is missing in her life, and she is about to find out what it is the hard way. Kristin is strong and confident, but still very human in her responses.

Great paranormal story

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW...I have become an audiobook lover. While I love turning the pages of a good book, listening to a good book is sometimes better. I love that with a good narrator you can hear the emotions of the book, you can feel things that you may miss when reading the book yourself, and that I can multi-task while listening to an audiobook.

Stacy Eaton chose Alex Black as her narrator for My Blood Runs Blue and he was wonderful. He was able to take Stacy’s story and bring it to life. I could feel the emotions, the fear of the unknown, and the love between the characters. I listened while doing my daily walks and found that time passed quickly while I lost myself in Alex’s voice as he told me a story.

The story itself was fun. I had not lost myself in a paranormal book in a while and was excited to start My Blood Runs Blue. The storyline has some great twists and turns while keeping it real enough that I felt like the story could be happening. Kristin learns about her history, a life she did not remember anything of, and finds herself in a love triangle. It was sweet and loving bringing people who meant a lot to her back into her life at a time when she felt very much alone. The steamy attraction had me sneaking in extra time to listen while the emotions kept me invested in Kristin being happy.

Nice start to a series

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I did not know what to expect going into this-I'm the type of gal that does not like to listen to samples or read much about the content-same goes for movies-i don't like to watch the trailer first-therefore I went in blind. I love the genre and the characters were likable-good character back story and current story. The thing that really bothered me about this one was the narration-- is that it was hard to know who was talking-which character. Half the time I could not figure it out until a pronoun was used. When the book starts out it is a female talking but in the male narrators voice and I first thought it was man talking about his husband....I was confused half that time unless a name was used or a pronoun.

great start to the series

I have read Stacy Eaton's books for years. I'm not sure why it took so long for me to read this series, but I really enjoyed this story. "My Blood Runs Blue" introduces us to Kristin, the strong willed cop investigating strange crimes in Fawn Hollow. Finding the perp is made more complicated by the two vampires who compete for her attention and the surfacing memories she does not recognize as hers from a prior life.

I'm not sure I love who she ended up with in the end of the story, but I'm looking forward to the next book where we're supposed to learn more about Calista's life with Julian, that lead her to make the decision she did in this book.

Surprised and excited by this new series from SE!

First, I have loved every book I’ve ever read by Stacy Eaton. When I saw this book from SE, I automatically requested it without reading what it was about. I was surprised by the vampires....and loved every minute of it...almost. I was not a fan of the narration. Alex Black is a good narrator for a male character or 2 but not a few female characters and several males. There were several times that I didn’t know which character was speaking and had to go back to re listen and figure things out. The other thing I wasn’t too crazy about was the ending. No spoilers...I just didn’t like it. However, all of that said, even with my dislikes, I will absolutely, most definitely follow this series! Hence the 5 stars. It’s an awesome, well written story that kept me engaged from the very beginning. I finished the book in one sitting because I had to know the answers. Now, I can’t wait for the next one!!!! I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

Second Chance

This story has a different twist on vampire lore. Officer Kristin Greene is different but she isn't sure why. Then there is a murder in her small town that introduces her to two men that can answer all her questions. Now on top of solving a murder she has to figure out who she is and which man she wants.
I liked the characters and look forward to following their progression in the series.

My Blood runs blue

Well Ms Eaton, You hit this one out of the park! Love me some vampires.
When Officer Kristin Greene is in the middle of a investigation of a woman who's neck has been 'cut', strange things start happening. There's a family requesting the assistance of the VMF Securities, Kristin is confused why they would think a security company could assist with the murder investigation. When she meets Julian and Alexander she finds herself being pulled into a love triangle. She hears them refer to her as Calista. Who is she and why do they keep talking about Calista?
Ready for the next book!
