A paranormal mystery

This is the first experience I had with the author's work. Ms. Eaton is new to me as a reader. I had the privilege of listening to this first book in the series. I did not know what to expect as was delighted with this audio version.

The narrator Alex Clark performed well in bringing this book to life. His version made me believe I was right there experiencing what Kirstin was feeling.

The spin on the vampire genre was original and exciting. I liked the idea of vampires transitioning when they are ready to mate. I like Alex, Julien and Kristin in their dynamic relationship. I truly hope they can all be together by the end of the series!

Awesome Story & Start to a Fascinating Series🎧📚🎧

Wow, this book is awesome, the story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it straight to the end. Stacy Eaton is a gifted author and it is great to see another side of her creative mind in this original story with her own unique take on paranormal and vampires. The characters are complex and well developed, I adored the leads, Kristin, Julian (Jules) & Alexander (Alex), they are likable and easy to connect with. Kristen is a ten year veteran in a small town Police Department in Pennsylvania. She loves the job and being a Police Officer. She works the pm shift, while on a meal break with her partner they get dispatched to an assault with injury job. Upon arriving at the scene they recognize the victim, a local girl named Dawn Taylor, losing too much blood she dies on the scene. Kristin must notify the family, things start to get a bit weird for her, she hears odd comments from the victims family. The next day she finds they brought in their own investigators, the VMF. Julian works for the VMF, the Vampire Military Force, which is run by (Master) Alexander. The WMF patrols their own breed and it is their job to go after rogue vampires. Julian heads to Eastern PA to help catch who is responsible for the brutal murders, he knows who is responsible. When he meets Kristin he is completely taken with her, he knows her from another life. I loved how everything plays out in this book, how Kristin deals with learning about things she never thought were real and finding out who she really is. This book is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment, there is plenty of drama, a bit of angst, some mystery, twists & turns, thrilling & suspenseful moments, heartfelt moments and a romance with a twist too. Stacy Eaton, thank you for this amazing story, I am looking forward to what happens next in this awesome series, I am love the imaginative and fascinating world and characters you created.

Alex Black is a terrific narrator and voice artist. He does a great job portraying the characters, humanizing them, giving them their voices and personality. He sets the perfect tone for the story, captures the characters emotions and projects them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Second chances

What a great read / listen. This is book 1 in Eaton's new series My Blood Runs Blue series and can be read / listened to as a stand alone. I wasn't sure what to expect when I stared this listen but it completely blew me away! A paranormal - vampire romance read with mystery, suspense, heartache and emotion. These main characters are so incredibly strong - I especially loved Kristin who stays true to who she is - no matter what. I love that this book is about second chances, in every aspect. Kristin finds herself in the middle of a love triangle - who will she choose? Julian or Alex - both make her blue blood boil with amazing chemistry! I can't wait for more!

The vampire world

Just any other day in the life of Kristin, a policewoman patrolling the streets of Fawn Hollow, until she is being called at one very strange homicide where a girl is found with her throat ripped out. Shocked and not understanding how this happened, she begins to dig for answers, but the more she digs, the more she finds herself thrown into a world of secrets.

This has been my first audiobook ever and I was impressed that I actually liked it and got myself lost while someone else was reading it for me. I always thought I might have issues listening to audiobooks, but nay nay, this one actually captivated me.

This one is an adult paranormal action/romance, with plenty of H.O.T moments and very steamy and very erotic. The book is narrated by Alex Black which did an amazing job differentiating the voices from female to male to another male character, even tho since I’m a beginner at this for some reasons I was expecting multiple voices for each character (I know, I know lol). At first I had small issues getting into the book, not being able to concentrate but slowly I got sucked in and I would go 2 hours interrupted listening to the audiobook.

The audiobook got a really interesting story, vampires that blend so good between people that no one suspects they're in fact vampires. Our main character - Kristin, apparently she is also a vampire but has been raised as human (they kind of transform after some years into vampires – which I found it intriguing). Her past contains many dark secrets, a love triangle between Julian and Alexander and what she thought about the world she's living is is about to change forever.

The book is pov'ed from multitple characters, at the beginning is only Kristin and Julien but then you also get Alexander's pov which makes the book more interesting since they're all 3 involved. However, I didn't really liked that somewhere in the middle the same events where pov'ed from both Julian and Kristin, I wish that would've been only from one side of the story because it can be a little bit confusing (but its not a turn off tho). There are some graphic scenes from death to sexual activities that in my opinion are veeeeeeery steamy and very hot. The book even listenting to it developed in my mind just as I would read any other book. This was a really nice experience for my first audiobook.

a life not known but still there waiting

You can find so much to enjoy with this one. It looks one way from the outside looking in. Then you get to the heart of the story. There are layers unexplored. Past, present, and the possible future will be touched by the simple act of one life taken too soon then re-born again. Kristin/Calista finds that life as she now knows it was not always the case. Past begins to encroach on here present. She finds that the life she thought she was living was only half of it all. She finds that she has lived before and that all the experiences come crashing back and a decision lays before her.

There are three men in this story. Each wanting Kristin for different reasons. One man life dulled by an act of betrayal. The other man life changed by an act of revenge. The other man just looking for a way out of the life he did not choose. There was much her to learn and consume. Watch as Kristin find out who she is now and who she was then.

I very much enjoy Stacy Eaton's works. She gives me new details and more to experience. While Alex Black brings to life the voices of each character with clarity. I have enjoyed all of Alex narrations. This one was no different. Thank you for the vivid imagery created by his voice and Stacy's words.

Great Read

My Blood Runs Blue (My Blood Runs Blue #1) was a great read by Stacy Eaton. Kristin is an officer who has always felt like something is missing from her life. She feels as though there is something else out there for her. She winds up investigating a homicide where a young woman's throat was ripped out. While investigating, she reveals a world that she didn't know existed. She finds herself in the middle of a love triangle but doesn't understand why they keep calling her Calista. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by Stacy Eaton.

Amazing Paranormal Series!

This is the first book in the My Blood Runs Blue Series, an emotional paranormal vampire romance. This is one of my favorite paranormal Series! The characters are great and intriguing. The story is well written, intriguing, and captivating.There is a lot going on in this story. The storyline has some unexpected twists and turns, and is filled with mystery, and suspense. Alex Black did a great job with the narration. I love his voice. Looking forward to listen to The Pulse of Blue Blood, the second book in the Series.

Reincarnation!

This is a fantastic paranormal romance! I found this story to be well written and narrated. The narrator brings this unique storyline to life. He does a great job with the characters and voices of each character which makes it easy to distinguish between the characters and voices of each character. He also does a magnificent job with male and female voices. If a narrator doesn’t preform the different voices it can ruin the story. I have definitely listened to enough audiobooks to say that I have a love of good narrator’s. I definitely recommend this book.

A Great Start

A great start to a new series. Kristin feels like something is missing in her life, and she is about to find out what it is the hard way. Kristin is strong and confident, but still very human in her responses.
