Story
From the best-selling author of The Ice Cream Girls, The Woman He Loved Before, and My Best Friend's Girl, an emotional story about love, identity, and the meaning of family. ‘Where are you coming from with that accent of yours?’ he asks. ‘Nowhere,’ I reply. ‘I’m from nowhere.’ ‘Everyone’s from somewhere,’ he says. ‘Not me,’ I reply silently. Clemency Smittson was adopted as a baby, and the only connection she has to her birth mother is a cardboard box hand decorated with butterflies.

Story
It's been 18 months since my husband was murdered and I've decided to finish writing The Flavours of Love, the cookbook he started before he died. Everyone thinks I'm coping so well without him - they have no idea what I've been hiding or what I did back then to protect my family. But now that my 14-year-old daughter has confessed a devastating secret, and my husband's killer, who was never caught, has started to write to me, I know it's only a matter of time before the truth about me and what I've done will be revealed.

Story
The new audiobook from number one best-selling author Jodi Picoult, with the biggest of themes: birth, death, and responsibility. When a newborn baby dies after a routine hospital procedure, there is no doubt about who will be held responsible: the nurse who had been banned from looking after him by his father. What the nurse, her lawyer and the father of the child cannot know is how this death will irrevocably change all of their lives, in ways both expected and not.

It's about time we made motherhood more diverse.... When Candice fell pregnant and stepped into the motherhood playing field, she found her experience bore little resemblance to the glossy magazine photos of women in horizontal stripe tops and the pinned discussions on Mumsnet about what pushchair to buy. Summary
What would you do for the friend who broke your heart?
Best friends Kamryn Matika and Adele Brannon thought nothing could come between them - until Adele did the unthinkable and slept with Kamryn's fiance, Nate. Worse still, she got pregnant and had his child. When Kamryn discovered the truth about their betrayal she vowed never to see any of them again.
Two years later, Kamryn receives a letter from Adele asking her to visit her in hospital. Adele is dying and begs Kamryn to adopt her daughter, Tegan. With a great job and a hectic social life, the last thing Kamryn needs is a five-year-old to disrupt things. Especially not one who reminds her of Nate. But with no one else to take care of Tegan and Adele fading fast, does she have any other choice?
So begins a difficult journey that leads Kamryn towards forgiveness, love, responsibility and, ultimately, a better understanding of herself.

I love the book but this is a shame
when I first read this book 5 years ago I fell in love. It's just such a shame that so much of the story, detail and information are lost in this autobook version. It's completely cut the book in half and taking away key moments from the story witch I feel where so important to the making of the book. Such a shame! Read the book!

Short but sweet
Some lack of concentration led me to download the abridged version of this - normally I go for unabridged books, partly because I want my money's worth and partly because I'd rather hear exactly what an author and his or her editors originally wanted me to hear.
So the initial progression of the plot and the relationships within it was almost Mills and Boonish in its ... compact ... nature. This annoyed me for a while, but eventually I just enjoyed it for what it was. A sweet story with likeable characters and a satisfactory, if not obvious, ending. Narrated well, too.

Love this book, so glad my friend got it for me!
This is the first book I listened to by Dorothy Koomson and I loved it, my friend bought me this audiobook (and Marshmellows for Breakfast) and I really loved it. So much so that I got another of her audiobooks called Goodnight Beautiful.
I would highly recommend this audiobook, its a great story and well written. Its also narrated beautifully and it really made this audiobook.
I have already listened to this audiobook several times and plan to listen to it again soon. I couldn't recommend this audiobook more, its fantastic and one of my favourites.
Its a great book about two friends that fell out, then one of them got sick and needed the other to take care of her daughter. It shows how strong a friendship can be and about the journey of the child who lost her mum.
The friend that looked after the child had to learn how to be a mum, she had never had an interest in being a mum before. This book shows what she goes through and I must say its a very touching story. I think we all hope to have that kind of friend is the need ever arrises....
Brilliant book, brilliant narrator and highly recommended!
