Critic reviews

I was laughing and crying from page one. Koomson deals with grown-up issues: friendship, death, betrayal and forgiveness - a very moving read. (Adele Parks)
Both funny and moving, this will have you reaching for the tissues... A heart-breaking tale.
I enjoyed it immensely and I did have to dab away a little tear as early as page two (Richard Madeley)
Totally enjoyable

Some lack of concentration led me to download the abridged version of this - normally I go for unabridged books, partly because I want my money's worth and partly because I'd rather hear exactly what an author and his or her editors originally wanted me to hear.

So the initial progression of the plot and the relationships within it was almost Mills and Boonish in its ... compact ... nature. This annoyed me for a while, but eventually I just enjoyed it for what it was. A sweet story with likeable characters and a satisfactory, if not obvious, ending. Narrated well, too.

Short but sweet

when I first read this book 5 years ago I fell in love. It's just such a shame that so much of the story, detail and information are lost in this autobook version. It's completely cut the book in half and taking away key moments from the story witch I feel where so important to the making of the book. Such a shame! Read the book!

I love the book but this is a shame

My number one book, I've read and listened to it countless times and it never gets old. Beautiful story, tugs on the heart strings every time and also makes me laugh. I would recommend this book to anyone and, in fact have done and they love it to.

One of my all time favourites!
