Summary

Hollie Porter is the chairwoman of Generation Disillusioned: at 25 years old, she's saddled with a job she hates, a boyfriend who's all wrong for her, and a vexing inability to say no. She's already near her breaking point, so she cashes in the Sweethearts' Spa & Stay gift certificate from her dad and heads to Revelation Cove, British Columbia. One caveat: she's going solo.

Hollie hopes to find her beloved otters in the wilds of the Great White North, but instead she's providing comic relief for staff and guests alike. Even Concierge Ryan, a former NHL star with bad knees and broken dreams, can't stop her from stumbling from one (mis)adventure to another. Just when Hollie starts to think that a change of venue doesn't mean a change in circumstances, the island works its charm and she starts to think she might have found the rejuvenation she so desperately desires. But then an uninvited guest crashes the party, forcing her to step out of the discomfort zone where she dwells and save the day... and maybe even herself in the process.

Loved this amazing funny story!!

This is one of my favorite stories. I have read it twice and when the audiobook came available I knew I had to hear all the crazy things that Holly had gotten herself into and she does many times. The narrator of this audiobook brought to life all these incredible characters.

A lovely romance

Well-written story of a young woman seeking to find herself. While some of the story line is predictable, there is a lot of humor. It also appeals to those of us who love British Columbia, where the story takes place. The narrator is excellent.

a little touch of west coast ronance

Sweet sweet story, with a healthy dose of wildlife and wild life. Well done Eliza.

Quirky and Fun

A solidly written and light-hearted tale. The character were well developed...Holly was a bit of a mess, but in a quirky kind of way and Connoisseur Ryan was loveable. It was a super cute and funny story...I truly enjoyed it!!!

Great Book!

This book was just what I needed- a light hearted warm book about finding yourself and laughing at yourself along the way. It was such a joy to see what Holly was going to do next. I am really looking forward to her and Ryan's next adventure!

Great romance with lovable, quirky characters

I loved this story and the narrator. Just enough conflict and excitement to keep my interest with a heartwarming romantic story at its core.

Hilarious and Well Written

The title drew me in, but the humor and story have made it a favorite.

Adorable, but...

Confession, I love otters, so yea, the book had me at the title. The characters are cute, there's wit, and the story is sweet. It's about when it's time to find yourself and not settling for less. But, sometimes Molly does annoyingly stupid things, which she admits to, and some parts I had to re-read to distinguish her inner musings and what she actually said. It's a warm and cozy.

PS - The narrator did a good job but did not fit the character. She sounded much older and raspy then Molly in my mind.

Couldn’t even finish the book.

I love a good complainer but the first 10 minutes of this book was NON STOP whining and complaining about everything in the main character’s life. Maybe it was supposed to come off as quirky or sarcastic, but the narration just sounded like she’s a miserable shrew. Maybe it got better, but i couldn’t stand it anymore and stopped listening. So disappointed.
