This book is a practical and up-to-date guide to music production. Whether you're just starting out or already knee-deep in mixing and mastering, this audiobook delivers real value.

The book discusses topics from setting up your studio and workflow optimization to advanced production techniques and mastering tips. What I especially appreciated was how current the content is, and that it's tailored for today’s fast-moving digital music world.

The narration is clear and engaging, making it easy to follow along even if you're multitasking or commuting. I found myself pausing to take notes more than a few times.

Highly recommended for producers, songwriters, and anyone serious about leveling up their music production knowledge.

Excellent resource for anyone in music production

Would highly recommend reading this book if you want to start making music at home.

The book is more or less a condensed sound engineering course without the practical aspect (coming from someone who has taken a similar course).

It covers most bases: Setting up a home studio, live recording instruments, microphones, picking DAWs, mixing and mastering techniques and networking.

A minor gripe I have is that there is some information I wish it went into more detail over. There are a lot of things the book just lightly touches on or skims over: phantom power, microphone placement, what knee does in a compressor, phasing, flanging, chorus etc.

Other than that, solid read.

Vocal performance is also clear and concise.
