good book not french looking forward to the next book mildly filler compared to the last book but that is expected

A much-needed respite from all the trauma of the previous entry.

This entry focuses on one of the strongest pieces of this series: family and relationships. The Greyrat family grows much closer throughout this volume, and Chapter 6 especially put a smile on my face. Roxy, Rudy and Sylphie bonding on that horseback ride together on the way back from Rudy becoming a water king led to some really cute moments and them starting to all open up to each other and be happy with how things are.

Elinalise, being scheming and a master manipulator, was funny, and I appreciated the lighter tone of this arc. Her helping Rudy have his first threesome was funny but also kind of sweet. And speaking of sweet, the birthday celebration for his sisters and the surprise present for Roxy were heartwarming and put a grin on my face throughout. I could honestly read 10 more volumes of just this kind of content, about this loving family and their smaller-scale escapades and bonding time, absolutely loved it.

And the final chapter with Nanahoshi also set up some major worldbuilding and had me itching to read the next entry.

The extra chapter about Eris was also interesting, and it was nice to be reminded that this whole time, Rudy has been her driving force.
