Summary

One of the very best Christie mysteries read by Hercule Poirot himself, David Suchet.

Just after midnight, a snowdrift stopped the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train was surprisingly full for the time of the year. But by the morning there was one passenger fewer. An American lay dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside.

With tension mounting, detective Hercule Poirot comes up with not one, but two solutions to the crime.

Critic reviews

"Need it be said, the little grey cells solve once more the seemingly insoluble. Mrs Christie makes an improbable tale very real, and keeps her readers enthralled and guessing to the end." (Times Literary Supplement)

MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS

Great storyline . Agatha Christie has an excellent imagination. Poor Porto
can take even rest from one case before being thrown into another

Poirot read by Poirot

One of Agatha Christie's most well known novels beautifully read by the man who introduced Poirot to so many people.

A classic retold beautifully

I had read the book years ago but couldn't resist hearing again, especially as it is read by Poirot himself. It didn't disappoint.

As good as I expected, given the Narrater

I had very high hopes for this, having seen a few adaptations but not reading the book myself. David Suchet had always been Poirot to me, so hearing him read it was great!

some of the best narration of an audiobook I have come across

Having heard of the story and seen snippets of the odd film or two of it in the past was curious to actually listen to the story properly. was not disappointed at all, the story is a perfect length and is perfectly paced and engaging. The great material is only enhanced by the exquisite narration, undoubtedly one of the best narrators I have came across on Audible.

Excellent once more

Another brilliantly narrated Poirot novel. David Suchet is unrivalled as the Belgian detective.
Would definitely recommend.

The narration is so well done

The narrator performed as all the characters so exceptionally. The tale was excellent no doubt. That ending is definitely one of its kind.
